Shoveling while pregnant??

This may be a really stupid question but! - is it okay for me to shovel, I'm 13W3D and it's not a LOT of snow, maybe 2-3 inches..and it's like..light snow, if that makes sense, it's not packy. Thanks in advance!

My OB said nothing over 20 pounds since I have to lift a lot at work and he specifically said NO shoveling.

well i still shovel  snow and  helping around on the  family farm with what  i can do and i am 33 wks today .  My doc tells me not to overdue it and to  listen to  when my  body  says i have had  enough.  As long as u  are  careful and dont over  do it u  should be  fine. i worked on t he  farm  shoveling and such  up  until i  week before i had  each of my  kids .

my dr said there are no restrictions on what i can lift.
lift with your legs, not your back or stomach muscles. stop if you feel any straining or exhaustion.
i also feel better with a little light exercise in the cold air.

I don't have to tell you to be careful! Remember that when you're pregnant you should not do heavy lifting. This strains your uterus and the ligaments supporting the uterus. I believe you're not supposed to lift over 15-20 lbs. Listen to your body and stop when you need to.

I shovel snow, but I just do what I can and take breaks when I need to.  It actually makes me feel a bit better, just being outside and getting some fresh air.  I am currently 10w2d....

I would think that the exercise would be good for you, assuming you are in good health with no complications.  Just take it easy and don't overdo it if you feel yourself getting tired, but please keep in mind that I am no doctor and if you have concerns you should definitely talk to your doctor first.
