Skin peeling

Baby boy skin is peeling in the inner creases of his thigh this can't be normal MIL told me not to put rash cream on it and change his diapers brand , I cleaned it up real good allowed him to air dry before putting a different brand of diapers on him. Anyone else had this problem ??

One of my teachers told me to use a cotton balls and baby oil to wipe of the dead skin that's on the baby

My son  is 2 weeks and his hands feet and tummy were peeling at 1 week and stopped this week

It's not like the normal skin peeling tho , his tummy is peeling but it's dry dead skin the skin in the creases is wet looking . He's 1wk+2days

How old is he? Babies skin does peel when they are newborn. My son had it on his hands.
