A pregnancy pillow worked really well for me! It helped get into a comfortable side position for sleeping. Doctors recommend sleeping on your side for baby’s health. The pregnancy pillow offers support between the legs and along the side. I got mine from ABaby.com..It’s like being cuddled to sleep! I love my pillow! :)
Im 31weeks 5days and i am not sleeping at all i go to bed early because Im always shattered but once i lie down i get awfully heartburn wwhich comes right up my throat and almost into my,then i can't get comfy any way i lie and when i eventually fall asleep u wake up every hour either craving ice cubes or having to pee and now i also think i may have a UTI so its quite painfull to go and Im having to do this every hour during the night, the only thing that seems to help is if i get my partner to lay on his back lay my head on his shoulder with his arm supporting my head put a pillow under my tummy and throw my leg over his legs, sorry for the rant but you could try that its the only thing that gets me back to sleep after each toilet episode every night, hope it works for you coz i know how horrible it is not being able to sleep xxx

I used to wake up starving too, so I started to eat something light just before bed, like a bowl of cereal. I still wake up to go to the bathroom or because my hip hurts and I have to change position, but at least it takes being hungry out of the equation. :)
I'm 18 wks 2dys and I was having a hard time sleeping for weeks wake up, tossing and turning, my friend suggested good old sex and make a good change try something new, but try to wear ur self out enough from pleasure that u sleep straight through the night and guess what works like a charm, we try something new almost every night, something we have read or heard from friends, it not only helps your sleeping it helps your sex life and relationship... My preganacy pillow hasent worked for me after I got one so I was trying whatever I could
I just recieved a pregnancy pillow as a gift last week. Its been the best present I've ever got! I went from waking up 5x a night to 2x. It gives your body support from the back to front. You should invest on one. I'm 20 weeks.
It just started getting better for me... kinda... i dont pee 10 times a night anymore so i can sleep longer but i am a light sleeper and have trouble getting to sleep or back to sleep... i know with my last pregnancy from 5 months on i didnt sleep anymore... i had horrible hip pain and then i was always numb and that was so annoying!! in fact i told a friend that even if i had a baby that was up every 2 hours i would still get more sleep lol and i had a really good baby and yes got more sleep after baby came then before by far! so anyway it *****! but youll get thru it and hopefully once there is less pressure on your bladder you will have less potty breaks in the night... and i hope that you will not have the same issues as me... but i do really want to buy one of those curved pregnancy pillows to sleep with...
Oh and as of right now if i try to go to sleep on my side i get really nauseous... but when its this early take all the back sleep you can get when you still can cause when you are limited to sleep positions you miss back sleeping lol
Dreams and nightmares are very common during pregnancy too.
Well I just recently discovered that I am pregnant and I'm already having problems sleeping! I have a lot of awful nightmares when I do sleep. I toss and turn and have to pee all night long. Then I wake up starving and can't go back to sleep! I can't even sleep on the couch...
i am almost 35 weeks and can not sleep at all, not on any side and not even on my back , its going to get worst. but u can buy those long pillow and put it between ur legs and before going to bed try to take a shower, and drink a glass of warm milk , and if u can steel fall sleep walk around , watch tv or read a book , i know ***** , i hope u can get some sleep :)
I try and nap when I can on it. Seems to be more comfortable but finally after trying 4 different pillows in my house found one that is comfy enough to use as a sopport... Only downfall is its the one thats supposed to go under my head LOL!! I told my husband this am I would try it for a few nights but might go get another one just like it for my tummy support and in between my legs.
Me too. I can't seem to sleep for more than four hours at a time. I will be up in the middle of night staving and can't fall asleep even after I eat. I'm tired a lot and try to nap during the day. I agree with everyone about the couch, it does help to nap on it whenever you can.
I am 19 weeks pregnant and sleep.seems to be elusive to me. I sleep in a recliner because it keeps me in one position and helps support me better. I miss sleeping withy husband but that's the only down fall.
I'm 30wks and 3days and I have had trouble sleeping since I was 11wks. I never had this problem with my first pregnancy. Hope it gets better for you.
I am 10w5d and having the exact same problem...however what I have noticed is I sleep better on the couch since im restricted and unable to toss and turn.
