Slow Amniotic Fluid Leak???

I am 39w3d and I thought maybe I leaked a little amniotic fluid earlier.  After I used the restroom and stood up two clear liquid drops trickled out--this was after I wiped (sorry TMI) and we have a mirror across from our toilet and I could see that it wasn't pee.  It was clear and odorless--this was about an hour ago and nothing has really happened since.  Should I just wait and see if anymore comes out?  Do ya'll think this is amniotic fluid??  Thanks!!!!!!!!

So sorry that happened to you!  How scary:(  I am DEFINITELY going to call first thing in the morning and I also happen to have an u/s scheduled for tomorrow evening to check my baby's weight sothat will be good to check fluid level too.  Thanks for your response:)

Thanks for that info!  I went to the bathroom again a minute ago and the trickle didn't happen this time when I stood up.  I will pay close attention to contractions and if I think something is happening I will go into L&D..........if not though I will still call my doctor first thing in the morning.  I always hoped I would get some BIG sign like a good gush of fluid, lol.  Then there would be no question what to do:)

i'm back again! my "googling" gave me this-i got it off a site that follows preg week to week....

(If you lie down, however, you may notice fluid leaking.) You should stay calm -- it may be hours before you feel your first contraction -- and call your doctor or midwife right away. Your body will produce more amniotic fluid until the baby is born, so your carers may suggest you wait at home until contractions are under way or may suggest an induction.

well, time them really well....i dont think they'd be BH, but possibly working themselves up lol, like liquid courage!

hmmm, i'd say if it gets heavier, or the contractions get stronger go into L&D-- i'd rather go home with an empty carseat tonight, then deliver at home in the am lol.....

Thanks, lol........that is a good idea:)  I am having irregular braxton hicks like I have already been having for a while so nothing really different there.  I have been laying on the couch mostly since those few trickles earlier and I haven't felt anything more happening?  So, I am not sure what to think of it!  It was definitely runny clear liquid though.......

at 39w3d, could this be her water breaking? instead of a gush, she's feeling a trickle? or maybe water and plug together?

kris777--lol sorry not trying to omit you, i was just wondering if the above could be whats up since you're so close.....maybe it is your water! are you having any contractions WSE?
