Slow fetal heart rate?

I am exactly 6 weeks pregnant.  I had a tiny bit of bleeding this morning and got an ultrasound.  The doctor said that the heart beat was a slow 65bpm.  I also had my hcg levels tested and they were 34,000 (vs. 6400 one week ago).  Although the doctor said that he would like to see the heartbeat double by next week, he said that because it is early, it doesn't necessarily mean I am going to have a miscarriage.  Just wondering if there is still hope of a good outcome and what the odds would be? Thanks you.

My daughter had a heart rate that was low when I was pregnant at 6w1d and then the next time they checked a couple of weeks later it was in the 170's and she is a perfectly healthy little girl!

I agree with JoyRenee!!! I have heard of it being low like that and the next time being 160 so it really depends! Keep us posted and I will be thinking of you in the days to come!

Anything under 100 is usually not good. But if your doctor is confident then be confident as well! I'm not really sure what the HB should be that early on.
