So scared .... bad news at the doc's

So I went back to the docs today (11 weeks) and she still was unable to find the heartbeat. I am soo scared. She booked and emergency ultrasound tomorrow for me. Is 11 weeks still to early to hear the heartbeat?

My uterus is still tilted backwards. Could this have anything to do with it??

Please pray for me, I am such a wreck right now.

The only way I saw/heard my babies heartbeat at 6 weeks was with the ultrasound my doc did to veryify pregnancy and due date stuff. I was actually 7w1d when I saw it. They didnt turn it up to hear it, but they measured it for us and let us see it. Most women will not hear a heartbeat from a doppler until 10 to 13 weeks.

I had my first ultrasound last week I was 11w1d. I asked the doctor if I would be able to hear the heartbeat and she told me we weren't going to try because it was too early. I was surprised because I see on here that so many people hear the heartbeat after 6 weeks. I did see my tiny baby bouncing around my uterus and the doctor told me everything was ok, so that made me feel really good. Good luck to you, and try not to worry too much!

With this pregnancy at 12 weeks the dr couldn't find my babies heartbeat either and when i went back at 16 and there it was.  I'm now 26w4d.  Everything should be fine, post tomorrow and I'll keep you in my thoughts.

It's different with everyone. I heard my baby's hearbeat at 10 weeks, but like Joy said a tilted uterus can have an affect as well. I'm sure your baby is fine!

Oh yeah, it is early! Usually 12 weeks is when doctors typically try to find the h/b. Also a tilted uterus affects that greatly!!! Rest easy tonight, go to bed early so tomorrow will come faster.

I do believe that 11 weeks is way too early to hear the heartbeat on doppler.  My doc did not try to find the hb on doppler until right at 16 weeks.  They would not even attempt to use a doppler that early.

Did she perform an u/s or did she use the heart doppler?
