I agree that subsequent babies tend to drop later, alot of them dont drop until your actually go into labour, so dont let that get you down, I would take this time that your husband is home to go for long, active walks together :) a good way to spend time together and also encourage your cervix/uterus to maybe get contractions started, as this is your 3rd baby, once you go, it probably wont be a long labour, also get your hubby to give you some foot rubs, focusing on the fleshy part behind your ankle bone, get him to rub that area really firmly, he can squeeze it as well, this is an acupressure point for your uters and can sometimes help bring on contractions, if your bodies ready :)

At 39 weeks I was exactly where your at now and my doc. Set me up to be induced needless to say I ended up in labor 19 hours and had to have a csection

Surely youre too early to be induced yet? They wont even give me a sweep till 41wks.

Apparently 3rd babies tend to drop really late, mine is apparently an exception as he started dropping at 34wks. Dont worry, youve loads of time yet :)

I am sorry you are having such a hard time, babies don't always like to cooperate. I can certainly understand your rush to have your baby while your hubby is home. You actually have made descent progress naturally. Google ways to 'naturally induce' yourself. People claim a lot of things can coax your baby out: spicy foods, long walks, sex- it may be worth a shot. There is also some scarier methods people use, like drinking castol oil and certain herbs- those I would not recommend. The reality is when labor is artificial augmented (especially if it is prior to when the doc recommends) there are a higher risk for prolonged labor, complications, or even c section.
