Soap bar on vagina?

In the shower, I usually use a soap bar by Ivory to wash my vagina. I don't douche by actually sticking anything up there, I just rub the bar over the outside of my vagina but sometimes I guess it's too much and some gets in and it burns for a little but not severely. I've been doing this almost my whole pregnancy and I'm 31 weeks and my little baby has been fine, I've never had any problems by doing this. But is it safe?

I use Johnson and Johnson baby body wash down there. My vagina is very sensitive and if I use anything else it will make me get a rash :/ Yeah with just water I don't feel clean so my doctor recommended  J&J cause it's made to be extremely gentle. It works wonders for me!

Summer's Eve works wonders! They even have different scents and different formulas for varying sensitivity. Water just never felt clean enough for me. So if you feel the need to use soap like I do, use this stuff :)

Same way here but I use antibacterial soaps by dial n or can use eash cloth to clean too less soap

I use soap too. & wash around the area & it between any creases .
I feel like just using water is not cleaning it well enough ...

Soap can ruin your ph balance and make you more susceptible to infections and bacteria. My urologist told me to do what the above poster said: just wash everything off really well with water bc theres certain things there soap kills that can imbalance us down there.

Its okay but u really don't need much soap down there just rub a little on your hands and clean it. I honestly don't really use soap down there just water and i take sure to rinse every little cracks in there and personally I don't stink down therem . our vagina cleans it self but water helps
