Sore uterus during 11th week?

Ok... so I had some spotting yesterday when I went to the bathroom.  I only had it that one time.  I called my OB and she set up an appt. today for a sonogram.  Everything went great... the baby is measuring perfect, placenta looks great, cervix is long and closed.  But, my uterus feels bruised or sore from the outside.  Obviously, the tech wasn't going to start suggesting as to why I spotted or why my uterus feels sore.  Just curious, is it "normal" for my uterus to feel like this at a little over 11 weeks?  Could I have spotted from it stretching?

Just a little paranoid since this is how I felt with both of my previous miscarriages and I just want reassurance that my sore uterus could be "normal".  (Whatever normal is during pregnancy! :)

I have an already scheduled appt. for Monday so with the ultrasound being normal, they are having me wait.  That is fine with me too... I am reassured everything is fine now :)  It just feels strange... that's all.

brittney11:  Thanks... as long as it is normal.  I just need to keep telling myself that :)

its pretty common for your lower abdomen to be sore around this time because of all of the strecthing that is going on. I am 21 wks 2 days and mine is still kinda sore. Good luck and take it easy.

Oh...wish I could help...my only suggestion is to call your OB's office  back and ask to leave a message for you OB to call you regarding a sore uterus.  Too bad they only scheduled you for the sonogram and not a short visit with the doctor.  BUT everything sounds great, so try to relax and call the ob in the a.m.  Good luck =)
