OMG the Ginger Tea is my HERO!! I once again had a sour tummy, and had hubby go get me some, and it worked absolute wonders. The epsom salt bath did wonderfully too, it has helped with the cramping aswell. I haven't yet taken the Miralax(Skeered lol) but the epsom salt bath relaxed me enough to get things moving. Im feeling much better now, but I have a feeling the constipation won't relieve itself until A) Im in labor and I poop all over the doc lol or B) until after Conner is here. I know epsom salt is safe to use every night so I think every other night I will try one just to help me go to the bathroom.
Thanks for the advice because it worked wonders!
Hi, BTS. My hubby is a pharmacist and says miralax is fine to take while you are pregnant. I know different docs say different things, I am of the opinion not to be so crazy about that kind of stuff. I think it wil be fine for you to take. Good luck.
I hope you are feeling better today. Let me know if it helped you sleep and relax a little. I will definitely try my own advice once I'm pregnant. I use it every now and then and it knocks me out!
Mumita, Thank you so much, infact I just went and had an epsom salt bath. I had my unexpected baby shower today, and it was all out doors so I did a lot of walking and chasing my 2 yr old, so it got things moving around a bit lol. I will also try the ginger soda/tea if the sour tummy comes back.
I posted on your other post of L&D but anyway, try an Epson Salt bath, its safe during pregnancy, it has magnesium and calcium so its good for 3rd trimester, its a muscle relaxant so you'll be able to fall asleep fast and it helps with bowel movements. Originally people used to drink a glass of wanter with a couple of teaspoons of epson salt as a laxative but I wouldn't recomend that during pregnancy.
If you do a bath with a couple of cups of it, your skin will absorb what it needs and nothing more, plus warm baths are so relaxing :)
Just make sure that the bath is luke warm and not tooo hot.
Also, ginger tea or ginger soda will definitely help soothe your tummy.
