Spotting @ 37 weeks

Ladies I had an appointment today and the check me to see if I was dilated and im 1 cm, that was at 10. At 3 in the afternoon I went to pee and when I wiped there was brown blood very light though. I call my dr. she said it was because she had check my cervix thats why I was bleedin. Its now 11 and I still keep on having the spotting its not a lot but I have contractions as well. This has never happen before. Is this normal?

Thank you!! I called the l&d and they say to go in when I start bleeding bright red. I will be having a long night.

That might be your mucus plug!! If your having contractions I would call your obgyn or L&D!!

Sorry I know I posted yesterday about having cramps all day. But now im so confused, my drs. Receptionist told me it sounded like I was going to start labor soon. I just want to ease my mind, before I go to l&d. Im just kinda scare since my dr. told me this time they wont stop my contractions.
