Spotting at 5 weeks 3d

Hi! I've had three kids and have never had any spotting throughout my pregnancies. I woke up this morning to some light spotting. Any ideas?

I never had spotting with any babies i carried to term..only when i misscarried at ten weeks a few years ago!! I spotted with this baby also at ten weeks and thought the worst..my baby was fine and had a strong heartbeat..mind you i did have a small hemmorage next to my placenta..indicateing possible  placenta previa...( usually it corrects itself) before birth....My was brown too ( i also had a ton of cramping) so unless the blood turns bright red try not to worry but inform your doc just the same!

As long as the spotting is not bright red in color and accompanied by cramps/clots, it could be normal.  However, I would still call your doctor and let them know.

I've heard some light spotting is normal.  I would give a call to my doc or nurse to confirm everything is ok.  Wishing u luck.
