I'll be 36 weeks pregnant on Thursday . I've felt this pain a few times before and was told it's
My ligaments but I don't think my ligaments are in my vagina? This pain feels like a sharp stab that is quick and fast and comes every 5 seconds for about 2 minutes. It's uncomfortable but not "painful." however I have a High pain tolerance so it may be painful to others. Can anyone tell me what this is? Does this mean I'm dilating?
Does it feel like a lightening pain that shoots up inside of you like where the birth canal would be?(only thing I can think of to describe that location) if so, I had it often, but it never actually dilated me.
Haha. Indeed it is. I had it for weeks and it happened out of nowhere. The worst times were when I was walking. I never could figure out what caused it though. It was too difficult to describe it or where it was. Good luck though! Not too much longer now.
I would describe it as electric shots going up your whoo haaa lol. It kind of takes your breath away and it makes you stand still. I always got them about 2-3 weeks before I went into labour with both of my pregnancies. I got my first lot at about 35 weeks and had my daughter at 38 weeks. I think it is just everything getting ready or baby pressing on some sort of nerve.
Wow. It's 2am and im just waiting for my hubby to get done and come crawl in bed with me. While laying here I experienced the same pain i described only worse. I had to squeeZe my legs shut and even that didn't help :( that's twice today that I've had these series of pains- doctors tomorrow/today and hopefully they can explain any changes going on down there
Its baby putting pressure on your cervix and moving against it. It doesnt cause you to dilate but can help dilation. Ive been getting it for weeks and the doctor says it a normal 3rd trimester complaint. Feels like my daughter is taking a knife and stabbing me in the cervix.
I don't know if I fully agree with some of the answers. I got the same pain with my son, it started in the third trimester I think, but he was breech the whole time, so his head wasn't there to put pressure on my cervix. I was also dilated 1 cm 50% effaced from 33 weeks on until my scheduled c-section at 38 weeks 5 days.
With this baby (29 weeks tomorrow) I've been feeling it since the beginning of the second trimester. My next appointment is Oct 12, I'll be 31 weeks and I'm going to ask the dr to check my cervix just to see if it's causing anything to happen.
I had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions with my son, went to the hospital a few times because of them, the first time 25 weeks when they were 5 min apart, but this time I haven't had hardly any...I guess I'll find out on Oct 12 if anything is changed in there!
i had that with my daughter chick, not much longer to go but i also had it up my back passage the only way i described it was felt like someone putting a nife up your woo woo both ways but wont be long and dont be scared its thhe best feeling ever being in labour and giving birth i enjoyed it and i only had gas and air for little while all natural all it is is tiering but that goes away straight away good luck with everything
