Starting Clomid soon....

Hello Everyone...

Anyone else starting Clomid soon?  I am starting my first round of 50 mg. on Tuesday.  Doc prescribed 50 mg to start.  I've heard good and bad about it and am nervous.  Just hoping to have someone to talk to who is or has gone throught the same thing.  

I miscarried in January at 9 weeks.  Had TTC for four months prior.  Have been trying since February with no luck and doctor put me on Clomid.

This is my 1st time on Clomid 50mg, never pregnant. I took my 1st pill yest morn (10/20) no side effects yet, by end of day was really tired but I had a long day, also weathers been drizzling, cold & raining making everyone feel this way.

I got pregnant 3 times on clomid.  The first 150mg from day 3-7 and the next 2 100mgs from day 2-10.  The only side effect that I ever experienced was hot flashes!!  Good luck ladies!!

Well, today was day one and not too horrible.  A little dizzy this morn and have just felt kind of foggy all day, but I also have a head cold so I'm not sure which is to blame!

Hey, your story sounds like mine! I started clomid this month and did not have any really bad side effects! The very first day I took it i felt extremly tired and a few hot flashed. That was just about it. And it seems to have stoped after i took my last pill. I think the side effects get worse the higher the dose! Praying for you and everyone else!

Thanks ladies!  I have several friends who took it and had healthy, single births and several have comments about the side effects, so just thinking it would be nice to hear from some others!

My heart goes out to you for your losses....I had a m/c in January and have been TTC for 15 months.  My doc doesn't seemed to be too concerned that we aren't having any luck because we did conceive the one time.  She gave me the choice to keep waiting or try the Clomid.  I obviously chose the Clomid.  AF came yesterday and she wants me to take it on days 5-9, so I am starting on Tuesday.  I would love to keep in contact if you do take it!

Hi, I think I will be starting 50mg of clomid on tuesday, I have had 3 m/c's and overall been ttc for 5 years, I was hoping we had done it this month but go af today, had results of the investigations into our miscarriages on Friday and everything came back normal, I had a call from my fertility nurse and she is hoping to get the prescription done for mon or tuesday next week, I got af earlier than usual but she said its ok to take the clomid on day 2, 3, 4 or 5 and you take it for 5 days! So, we may be on starting it at the same time altho what cycle day will you be on tuesday?

The odds of having multiples with clomid is higher but is still VERY low. Yes there are some annoying side effects of clomid including hot flashes, night sweats, nausea, nightmares, anxiety and such but not everyone will have these side effects and even if you do (I did) it's worth it in the end to have a baby :)  I tried vitamins and they didn't do anything for me and not all vitamins are safe in pregnancy so never take any while ttc unless your ob has recommended them.

I took clomid several times I was taking it the month I got pregnant and I'm now 22.5 weeks pregnant with one baby.

I havent heard anythig negative about clomid my friend use to take it. Are you trying to multiples because thats usually what happens. If you don't want multiples I would say keep your clomid & don't take it try 1month of Gerotol  vitimans pill or liquid and trust me it does work. I am pregnant with baby number 8. I have 3 boys and 1 on the way. I miscarried that many times and EVERY time I was taking a vitiman for energy and got a baby with the energy. GOOD LUCK!!!
