Stitches

So I had my son 3 weeks and 5 days ago and I had some tearing so they stitched me up and said they were the kind that dissolve on there own  well it's been 3 weeks and 5 days and they still haven't dissolved...so my ? Is how long does it take for them to dissolve? Or did they maybe give me the non dissolving kind on accident?

It usually only takes 10-14 days but i have heard of it taking several weeka. I would maybe call and ask your doc juat to be safe. Mine dissolved on the 10th day and i could feel it.

I had my baby 3 wks ago and my stitches havent dissolved either, but i was told it could take as long as 5-6 weeks for them to completely be gone. I dont feel any problems with them so hopefully theyll go away on their own!

The nurses told me when I had him they should gone within a couple days and they aren't gone and its been almost 4 weeks its starting to concern me...I was gonna wait till my 6 week appointment and ask my dr but I'm scared that they could cause problems cuz they been in there so long
