Stopped taking Birthcontol pills

I was taking Birthcontrol pills for about 6yrs. I stopped taking them last month Nov. My LMP was 11/29. My cycle has always been 27,28,29 days. Mostly 28 days. I think I was so regular because of the birthcontrol pills. Anyway, the last few days I have had the slight feeling of cramps just like I would when I was about to start. But everytime I go and check. NOPE nothing. I have taken two preg tests in the past week and they were neg. I was wondering if I could be pregnant or is my period just messed up because I stopped the pill? I would like to be pregnant. This is just so hard to wait for either my period to come or a positive test result. I probly have answered my own question. I guess I just need to wait and see what happens. Its just soooo hard to wait. Ya know?  I was wondering what experience anyone has had coming off the birthcontol pills?

Thanks for reading.

We were wanting to have another baby and really did need to get pregnant right away because next August I have to start my program in Radiography.  I actually quit my pill in the middle of my cycle and we just got pregnant--it's crazy!  I got pregnant with my 2 year old son while on the pill so my body is just super sensitive I guess (one month the pharmacy gave me generic and I saved $20, lol).  That's why they say I got pregnant on the pill!  Don't give up and try to stay calm because I have heard that stress can cause problems with getting pregnant.  I hope it happens soon:)  I am sending baby dust to you both!!

I hope so too.............it definitely can happen:)  Even on Thanksgiving I got an EXTREMELY faint line and thought I was seeing things so I ran to Walgreens and bought a digital test that actually said the word pregnant.  That one was pretty clear:)  Good luck and keep us posted!!

I went through the same thing.  I stopped taking them in august and i was always regular as well.  Then when i stopped taking them my pms symptoms got extremely worse and my period started coming a week late.  man, did i think i got pregnant on the first try!!  Lol, so yes, it could be a normal reaction to the hormonal change or, if you're super lucky like kris777, then you're actually pregnant.

KRIS777,
Did you plan your pregnancy or did you just stop the pill and it it happened?  I have been becoming increasingly fustrated because it seems to me like i am unable to get pregnant....

I quit taking my birth control pills on October 20th and never even got another period...................we got pregnant right off the bat!!!!!  We finally got a positive HPT on Thanksgiving, but two weeks prior to that I felt like I was pregnant but got several negative results.  You may be pregnant already like I was:)  Good luck!!  It might be too early for a positive....

I took birthcontrol right before I got pregnant.. It took at good 6 months to a year before I finally got pregnant and when I finally did, I had a m/c... Then I got pregnant with my son..... If I were you, I would wait just a few more day's and see if you start.... Have you had any pinkish spotting ? send me a pm message.....
