Subway?

Anyone eat Subway while pregnant? I've had it a couple times but I got meatball subs to stay away from Listeria. :\ But I'm 22 weeks now and really want turkey.

I was told at WIC that it was perfectly fine as long as I got it toasted. (I am) But of course I'm still worried lol.

Has anyone here eaten Subway's deli meat sandwiches regularly with no issues?

I don't like it toasted so they only heat up my turkey meat and add it on. When I go to the grocery store, Publix, and I order their turkey sub I always have them put my veggies on the bread and wrap up the meat and I cook it at home. Enjoy your sub!

I just had Subway today but I had the egg white sandwich, but I have had turkey while pregnant. I never heard the whole cold cut thing til this pregnancy but honestly I've had unheated cold cuts too. My sister in laws husband works for Boars Head and he said they're meat is all heated and prepared safely before going to the delis. Idk what kind if cold cuts they use at Subway but if its not Boars Head you could always get a turkey sandwich from a deli and then you would know if it was a well known brand or not

I have and i constantly eat cold turkey sandwiches here from my hospital in the cafeteria. I always smell things though and if i feel it smells off i won't eat it. Pregnancy gives us that sensitivity to smell solely for that reason. All in all I'm sure you'll be fine.

Yea I have been craving turkey meat. I haven't done Subway, but I don't see it being an issue if u get it warmed up or toasted. I try to stick to deli meats with no fillers & additives but I still get it warmed up.
