Hoping for the best! Keep us posted.
Looks like I'm on my way to l&d to check if it was my water breaking. Wish me luck.
Get to the er for sure, have them check your fluid levels, bc it sounds like water broke, but of course we can't tell you for sure
Thanks girls. Just called my doctor. Waiting on him to call back.
Yes, forget the smell description and call your doctor immediately. There is a simple test they can do to determine if it's an amniotic leak.
I had the norovirus a few weeks ago, and every time I had an episode of violent vomiting, I'd leak a clear fluid. I could not tell if it was my own urine or I'd ruptured my amniotic sac--I was 27 weeks. The nurses at L&D swab your cervix with a special paper and a few minutes later, they know if it is amniotic fluid or something benign.
You can never be too careful. Call the doctor now, and get checked.
I hope everything its okay though....
Even though I'm a ftm, that doesn't sound too good. You should call your doctor now and hopefully they can Identify what's happening. Good luck hun! Best wishes.
Call you doctor now. you may need to go to er
chels, the others are right. It's not that helpful right now for you to keep trying to describe the smell - it's best if you call your doctor's office and describe the incident and get checked for a ruptured sac.
I don't know how to describe the smell... It wasn't strong. I felt weird that close to the toilet.. I just don't know what to compare the smell too.
Of its her waters she needs to head to er immediately. The baby will need steroids and they maybe able to sustain her pregnancy a little longer. Everyday counts when your pregnancy :)
