TMI alert

Like it says, not a pretty subject, but anyways, I have been having really bad pains a little before I have to have a bowel movement. It's not gas, I get those pains quite strongly too tho. I am not constipated either. It's a little scary because don't have the urge to go yet when the pain starts. It's in emy stomach/back, where u would probably expect it to be. I guess I am just wondering if others get this, is it normal, is there anyway to relieve it?

Tana643, that is exactly it! It just scared me a bit before I made the connection between the pain & pooping! Now I wonder how normal it is.

Actually, baby pressing on the intestines would be a good reason... I dont have to run to the bathroom, I usually have 20 mins before I feel like going after the pains.

I've had some similar pains at times. The first time it happened, I was concerned it might be appendicitis since it was so sharp and strong. It's probably just because the baby is pressing on your intestines.

I used to get those. I would be fine one second, then I'd get an awful stabbing pain and I'd gave to run to the bathroom. However I was also having diarrhea type symptoms, so mine could have been different.
