Temps Dropping!

Well I'm thinking it's all over.  I had a bad feeling when I went to bed last night that my temp was going to be down today and I was right.  It didn't go down below my coverline but I am thinking that will be tomorrow.  Fertility Friend even removed the info they had put about possible implantation so that can't be good.  Took another test and still getting a BFN.  I'm officially depressed.  I didn't sleep well at all last night (my son was throwing up from a stomach virus)  so I don't know if that effected my temp or not.  Here is my chart for those that want to look....

I don't know anything about coverlines and dropping temps, but I would say don't give up hope just yet, rachie!

thanks tarajanes...I'm done worrying about it...if it happens it happens...if not whatever.  Between worrying about this, cleaning up my sons throw up for the past 20 hours and debating about that baby shower thing I'm toast... i need a nap!

Hiya girls,rachie dont give up yet.sck08 you could be right maybe the tues,but from what the book taking charge of your fertility and other sources say is the lowest temps is considered day before ov,but seem as though there is a circle didnt notice before .with the correct temp in there ie no disturbance it could have changed your coverline,so yep its possible it was later.rachie luteal phase is 12-16 days however you can allow day or 2 either way since some women start late at night or early morning etc.since you got sex in few days before the possible ov it can still happen,might i suggest next cycle go for sex every other day if possible,or at least 3-4 times a week.so then even if late ov you got plenty bd in to be safe..in the mean time relax girl,18 days yes generally is the cut of day where you can consider pregnancy.but since you have pcos im not sure how that effects cycles after ov,but i still think looks promising...

thanks Shannon...that make me feel better.  I don't feel like AF is coming...I usually have cramping the day before it gets here...and so far nothing.  Just fear it is coming.  Hopefully not.  I am hoping the fact that I got almost no sleep might have caused it to drop but I think I am wrong...I think that if I had no sleep it would have actually gone up.  Anyways...thanks for the encouragement...I really hope it's the same situation.  I will test in the morning unless AF comes before then.  And thanks!

Hey Rachie don't give up just yet. I was just looking at my chart from October when I got pregnant. I have a longer cycle, generally at 42 days or 6 full weeks. Even though my cycle is longer, I still ovulated earlier. I was on cycle day 20 when I ovulated which was a good 3 weeks before my period was due. I ended up testing postive on November 7, 2007... I was 18 DPO when I tested positive but technically not LATE YET. Anyway, at 17 DPO I had a temp drop very similar to the one you experienced this morning. The very next day it went back up from 98.34 to 98.49. I tested that morning and got my BFP!!! You may very well not be late yet maybe your cycle is just thrown off a bit this month. But I will tell you that my small temp dip at 17 DPO never went below my coverline and only lasted that 1 day. As I mentioned, it went back up the very next day when I tested positive. Anyway, the point to my rambling is that your situation seems almost identical to mine and I ended up getting my BFP. I am now 18 weeks 3 days. I think if your temp goes back up a bit tomorrow morning at 18 DPO, take a test, or go get a test done at the doctors if the HPT comes up negative. It seems like there is a good chance that you may be pregnant.

Wow 9 months....I think I'll give up by then.  I don't know how much more of this my mental health can take...i mean seriously.  I admire you for sticking that out.  It wouldn't be so bad if you were guaranteed to get pregnant if you had sex on ovulation...but even then it's only a 25% chance or something crazy.  I hope this is your month...you have been so much help to me.

I totally know how you feel.  I was TTC for 9 MONTHS before having my DD...every month was such a let down.  Now TTC again, it's like-"why doesnt it work with all the sex we're having?? UGH!"  If you did ovulate later than you still have a chance of catching that egg.  You had sex 2 days before that.  FF isnt always exact with ovulation (especially w/open circles-I have 6 open circles!) that's why I cross check with a fertility monitor, OPK, CM, and temping!!!  LOL!  I also have sex every other day or every 2 days for 2 weeks!!!!!!!!  Even if FF says I O'd...I just make sure!  This is my 2 month TTC so I hope it doesnt take me as long as the first!

Sck08....Yeah I am starting to think I might have ovulated later.  Is pregnancy pretty much confirmed when you have 18 days of temps over your coverline or 18 days without any dropping at all?  I did read somewhere that the LP can last anywhere from 14-17 days but I don't know how accurate that is.  What you said makes sense.  I really dont want to have to go through this again!  I want to be done TTC.....just be pregnant.  I am trying to be patient.....just isn't working. I know God will let it happen when it's time but I just wish if I wasn't things on my chart wouldn't look so good for so long....leading me on.

It's not over yet!!!  Your temp wasnt really that low and it sucks you'll have to wait till tomorrow to see if it goes down more.  Can you call your OB and get a blood test done?

Here's where i am confused and maybe TARAJANES can help-look at Rachies chart-a LP last from 12-16 days...she is at 17...do you think she ovulated a little later?  Since she has the open circle you really cant be sure what the temp would have been that day.  I think she ovulated a few days later on Tuesday which would only put her at 15 DPO which will give her one more day in her LP.  That would also put her at a 35 day cycle which she had last month.  So technically she's not late and can still get her BFP the day after tomorrow?  Am I right?  I hope so Rachie!!
