The test said no but could it be wrong?

My dh and I are ttc.  I know that I ovulated on 9/22 at 11pm and we had sex several days leading up to 9/22 and on 9/22 and the next few days.  I was due for af on 10/6 and I usually spot the day prior.  It is now 10/9 and no sign of af.  I am having some symptoms but the test came back negative.  I do check my cervix since we started ttc and yesterday it was hard and lower, today it feels higher and soft and closed.  Could I be pregnant and implanted later and am not producing enough hcg to show up in my urine?  I am never late and I only missed a period when i was pregnant 7 years ago, my luteal phase is always 14 days.  any advice?

thanks for the advice.  I am almost 100% sure I ovulated because i had a lh surge on sunday evening and I usually always have middle pai for 5-10 minutes when I ovulate, that is why i say at 11pm, because I had 5 minutes of twinges on my lower left side.  I also had fertile cm.  I was pregnant a few years ago and it took a week and a half for positive test, but i didnt know my body as well.  i am hoping that I am pregnant but am not getting a postive yet because the hcg is still low.  My ob told me to come in monday for a blood test if no af yet and the test is still negative.  my hubby has no clue because i dont want to get his hopes up if i am not, but the only other times i have been late were due to pregnancy...

How do you know you ovulated at 11pm.the egg is only viable for 12 hours.you can know the day you ovulate, but the exact time isnt possible.you bedded the right time.a lutheal phase can be 14-16 days tops.if your getting negative tests this suggests ovulation happened later.this will then make your period later.dont rely on your cervix for signs.it changes throughout the day.once your late a test is usually posititve.wait a few more days, test again.if your period hasnt come,if not then ask for a blood test.best of luck.
