Has any other whom have had c-sections been told their uterus is very thin? My son was born in March a handsome 8lbs 12oz 22 inches. He unfortunately had passed away during birth. Being I had a c-section I brought up the question as to if my body was going to be able to handle another c-section. I have had 3. I was told my uterus was very thin but no window. I am now 9 weeks into a very high risk pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this about their uterus being thin?
My step sister had a very thin uterus after a high risk pregnancy and c-section, followed by a pregnancy 4 months later. At 4 months into her second pregnancy she was on full bed rest in the hospital, and starting at 32 weeks an amnio was done every week to check for lung development. She was given steroids to speed up the lung development, the Dr.s wanted to do her c-section as soon as they could to prevent her uterus from rupturing. At 36 weeks she had her c-section and gave birth to a healthy baby girl who was able to go home with her 2 days later.
Take it easy and really follow your Dr.s advice, they will do everything they can to get you safely through the pregnancy.
I am sorry about your son, and I hope this pregnancy and birth are full of happiness and joy.
Thanks very much! I am trying to be calm as can be but at times I feel like I am just waiting for something bad to happen. I meet with my doctor on Monday and hope to get a better glimpse into how high of a risk he feels we are. I am happy to hear the great outcome for your step sister. It's comforting.
