Treyson Joshua has arrived <3

Born on October 15th, at 10:26pm. He weighed 7lb, 9oz and 19in long.

I delivered 15 days early!

My labor story:
It all started on a Thursday night when I was having mild contractions (they felt like BH). They were every 5 mins constantly! They continued all night and the next day but didn't become painful. Called the dr and they said its pre labor, but that could last for days :/

The following Monday I went in for my OB check and my cervix was 3cm and 70% effaced. (The Monday prior I was 1 1/2cm and 50%) I asked my dr to strip my membranes. She did, and said this probably isn't going to do anything but give you cramps! I totally was all for it! I actually wanted pain after having contractions for DAYS and still no baby Trey!  So that night she was right.. I had cramps and contractions all night long! At 2am I woke up and lost my mucus plug. (GROSS). The rest of the night I was in pain with contractions. Still every 5 mins. By 6 am I called the dr and she said use the 4-1-1 rule. Nothing was changing and I was getting frustrated at that point. I went on a 2 mile walk and still... Nothing different. I ended up fibbing and called labor and delivery around 11am saying contractions were at 4 mins apart. They said to come in. I went in thinking they were just going to send me out the door. Well they didn't! I was 5cm and 90%! They said you're not going home until baby arrives. That was great to hear!!

Got my epidural at 6cm and she broke my water. At 8pm she said I was 10cm and 100% effected but thought I should wait another hour to labor down to make pushing faster. I agreed because I was so comfortable from my epidural and wanted an "easy labor". 9pm rolls around and here I was starting to push! It started to become painful.. And MORE painful. Something did just not feel right. And boy was I right. Hubby lifted up my epidural tube that came unplugged and was leaking all over his shoe!!! The last 45 mins of pushing I wasn't numb and it was the worst pain I've ever felt. After they put him on my chest I was absolutely in love. And all that pain that I just felt was all worth it. It's impossible to describe the feelings of so much joy and love.

Here we are now at home. First couple nights were so rough. And BF hasn't come easy. We are still learning together!

Having sex every night after 36 wks, walking 2 miles a day, bouncing on my ball,  drinking raspberry leaf tea and evening primrose orally and inserted nightly paid off!

I didn't intend on this post being SO long. I apologize :) Just wanted to share my experience. All those months of complaining and feeling huge pays off. Being a mommy is the best feeling ever. I wish all you mamas luck with the rest of your pregnancy, and labor. Just remember no matter how hard it all is, once your holding your precious little one it's beyond worth it!!! :) <3
