Triple screen results when did you get them...if you did the test

Just curious...I had my triple screen test done on Nov. 7th at the lab at the hospital where the ob is...I have an appointment on Friday for an ultrasound and I have an appointment to meet with a genetic counselor because dh was born with a cleft lip...I was under the impression that they would go over our triple screen with us then BUT when I called the doctor's office to ask them a question this morning about another upcoming appointment, I asked if the genetic counselor would be going over our triple screen results, and they said no, that my ob would go over them with us at my next appointment which is Dec. 4th.  IF something was wrong, do you think they would have called me rather than having me wait 4 weeks?  I was really looking forward to having the results on friday because I have been somewhat anxious about getting the results and now I am bummed I have to wait  another 2+ weeks!

Anyone have any experience they can share about the timeline etc.

ALSO, I really don't want anyone to make any comments about how they didn't have it done etc. OR question why I am anxious etc.  I love my baby...don't question it!

Yep..I had it done and they waited until the following appt. to give me the results....I would have to assume that if they thought that there was anything serious, they would call you beforehand......No news is good news!!!!

Thanks...I was thinking no news was good news...I was hoping that if something were seriously 'wrong' that they would have called me RATHER than having me wait 4+ weeks...that just seems unacceptable to give someone that kind of news sooo long after they have had the results!  I might call tomorrow morning to double check on this BUT I just wanted to hear what other people's experiences have been...

My doctor went over it at my next regular appointment, and all was normal. I would also assume that if anything was abnormal they would talk to you about it sooner. Best of luck! :)

Usually if it comes out with a risk, your doctor or nurse call within a week of when you had the test done!  Same with when you have the amnio.  They will wait till your next doctors appointment, when the chances are less likely to be anything wrong, like 1:80000 or some number like that!  So I'd rest easy!  =)  Good Luck Friday though!

my doctor said he would call if anything was wrong and he did not.  then my appt after the screening was when they told me all the tests came back normal.

I would not worry cause normally in the OB world, no news is good news

I totally understand the last sentence, seems that before anyone answers your question they jump into opinions!

Anyway, I haven't gotten that far yet in a pregnancy, but usually no news its good news.  Is there any way to get it expedited?  Be one of those crazy moms and demand it on friday!  Usually doctors don't call unless they NEED to talk to you, there's probably nothing wrong if they are leaving it to your next appointment.
I would be just as nervous and anxious.
