I have what seems to be some kind of growth on my lower abdomen. I am 30 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I have never seen or had something like this before. I had a big round belly up until about 2 weeks ago, now there is what looks and feels like a mass the size of a baseball cut in half at the very base of my belly. I go to see a doctor Tuesday for a normal checkup but I want to find out sooner if I need to go in asap. It's kinda freakin me out it's also slightly discolored from the rest of my belly, almost like a loss of color actually. Please help!

Depending on where it's located, it could be a hernia.  (google inguinal hernia and see if you think it's the right location)  I'd call your Dr. and see if she wants you to come in earlier.

I agree w/joy. Maybe a fibroid? (actually it's a tumor of the uterus I think... technically) but they can tell thru an exam.

That does sound strange and I wish I had an answer for you, at least anything that would help to calm your nerves. But unfortunately I don't! Do you think that perhaps it could be the baby's head in a really weird spot? That's the only thing I could think of. A fibroid or tumor might be another idea but again, just a guess.

If I were you I'd call and ask if you could be seen sooner (like Monday). PLEASE let us know how this turns out.
