UGH! HUGE PRESSURE in my hips!

Now I've seen a few related posts to this, but I'm 20 weeks(sat) and just today I've started experiencing really bad pressure in my lower abdomen frontal hip area.

It is SOOO uncomfortable. I just know swimming in a pool would help but they just shocked the water so I can't til tomorrow. I had bad cramps yesterday morning then again last night. and a couple today.

I've been trying to decide if it's BH's or what. I think I'm gonna call my dr. in the AM to see if I should come in.

But how many of you experienced this type of thing (feels like I gotta full bladder all the time) at 20weeks, and just how much worse will it get??

Thnx
Cindie

Yea. It's possible to have it as early as that... if you think that's bad, wait until the baby drops into your pelvis.... and when you get up your hips start spreading so far they feel like they're going to break..... OMG! That pain was so horrible!!!

Cyndie,
The pain you are having is due to your body preparing for birth.... Your hips are "spreading" so to speak... To prepare for the baby to come down....... I used to hate it when I was pregnant and my hips would start hurting..... Then when I would go to get up, my hips would pop and shift so badly that they would hurt..... I would cry they hurt so bad.......

Hi Cindie, I am experiencing a very similar feeling!! I am 18w5d. There is pressure in my hips which I have never felt before. I also have mild cramps/pressure down low throughout the day/night, but they are short-lived and not all the time. Additionally I have pretty serious lower back pain... but as far as the hip pain and cramps, as long as it's not unbearable you're probably just fine. Talk w/your doc to make sure... I had an ultrasound and exam yesterday and everything is going great... My doc was confident that the "pains" were due to everything growing/expanding and nothing to worry about. Best wishes to you!

PS - I warm bath REALLY helps w/cramps and round ligament pain, and back pain. Give it a try while you wait for the pool! :)
