UPDATE: 32 weeks and tested positive for preterm labor.
So last week I started loosing my mucus plug and then on Tuesday I was having some bad BH contractions so I decided to go in an see my doctor. Turns out I am 1 cm dilated and that my cervix is low (its supposed to be high). Well they took a swab of my who-ha to see if I was at risk for preterm labor and I guess it has come back today as being positive. Now I am on full bed rest with meds to stop contractions and I have to go to the hospital later and get steroid injections to make sure the babys lungs are developed in case she decides to make a extra early appearance. On a positive not though I got another ultrasound and she is weighing 4 lbs 1 oz and is looking absolutely perfect. She also has a full head of hair!
just wanted to let you know the same thing happened to me except my water was actually leaking...i got 2 doses of the steroids and the docs told me that after 48 hours they will have their maximum benefit

i know its scary but its also nice to have peace of mind that if you were to go into labor there is somebody out there who can relate and tell you that i was scared to death when it happened to me but now that it happened i understand so much more and im glad my baby was able to hold on inside of me until 32 weeks

I was put on bedrest and meds to stop contractions after a positive test at 33 weeks and made it until 38 weeks. While this part of it is not fun it is for the best. I hope your little one stays in there and cooks a little longer!! Good Luck
yeah, the steroid shots are definitely butt cheeker shots! lol one on each side...and they burn like a son of a! do you know what kind of contraction meds you'll be on? those arent so fun either :( but hey at least while ur on bedrest you'll have good ol medhelp to keep you entertained! Stay in a little longer baby girl! bake bebe bake!
I was on bedrest for 12 wks with my daughter, I also tested pos for preterm labor, had to get two steroid injections (in my thigh) and in the end had to be induced at 38 wks. So stay positive and you never know, it may just work out and she might stay put for a little while longer! Best wishes!!

Does anyone know if the steroid injection has to go in my butt? I'm really hoping against that.
Doctors can be wrong about the weight. Told my friendher baby would only be 5 pounds and she gave birth to a 7 pound 10oz baby a few days later. They told my cousin her baby was big at a full 8.5 pounds... And her baby was only 6poubds 12 oz...
Yeah I feel like if she was born early and is already weighing 4 lbs she should be ok.
