UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!
Well ladies.....I had my 38 week midwife appt today...........and I can't believe this..................................................................................I am 5 cm dilated and just about 100% effaced!!! Also I am measuring 40 weeks too!! OH MY GOODNESS!! It could happen anytime here......And also she thinks the baby is about 8 1/2 pounds right now! So she gave me my birth kit and told me to have everything ready and in the car! My husband wanted to know if I could hold out until friday after six so he can be all done with his busy week of work!! LOL....He is like, "can't you hold it?" Yea....like I am holding my pee right?? HAHA... he cracks me up. I think he is just nervous and excited. So ladies....hopefully I'll be back on here tonight or tomorrow with good news maybe!! We'll see! I figure if I am halfway through here...can't be too much longer. Been having contractions about every 10mins now....but nothin too painful...but a LOT of pressure in my bottom! Pray for me ladies.....I am getting excited and nervous now!! EEEEEK.
I am so excited for you girl!!! I will be waiting for an update!!! It's always so exciting when one of the women on here get to this stage....Almost like going through labor with them!! LOL!

Yea we are just going to what we can until he decides it's time to come out. I am going to clean the house again...lol. It can never be too clean I guess, right? haha. Gotta keep myself occupied or I will go crazy...as if I'm not crazy enough!! haha. =)

Sex that far along is difficult! But it will be effective. The more you move, walk, clean... the more contractions you'll have. My 2nd daughter was 8 1/2 lbs. She was so chunky and cute!
You guys are funny! I have to say tho the sex thing worked for me :o LOL. Good luck girl. I was up all night thinking about you. This mom thing is kinda sucks when you're trying to sleep!!!
It'll be easier if you just go throughout your day as if nothing is happening. Clean the kitchen, mop some floors, break the vaccum cleaner out...by the time you know it you'll be ready to push!
LOL....you guys are so funny! And yes prayerfulwife....go wash your mouth out! LOL...just kidding girl...that is actually a GREAT idea! I am going to talk to hubby later on as long as I am not in labor yet and tell him to make a move! =) haha.
I hope I can share good news in the next 24 to 48 hours here! Hubby just may get his wish for this Friday...lol. We'll see. =)

Okay ladies.....I am still here!!! UGH! I woke up so frustrated.....my contractions stopped at about 1am after I was having them ALL day. yesterday and today I had TONS of mucousy discharge with blood and brown in it. So I know things are happening. I am still have pain down there and horrible lower back pain. Also, I came down with a horrible cold yesterday morning as well, which is not fun!! I am starting to feel better from that today. The baby is not in the proper position...apparently he is still slightly turned with his back toward my right side, when his back should be against the front of my belly. That could be why things aren't picking up quite yet! But I know I am close and I know he will be here soon enough! I am just getting so anxious now!! I am not allowed to recline in any position, I have to keep stretching, use my birthing ball, get on all fours to encourage this 'not so little' baby to get going!! lol. I think he likes it in there. He is still moving well and has a wonderful heartbeat, so I know he is okay. I just can't believe I am halfway through labor....Hopefully it will be a good and fast labor from here on out!! All my friends here at home cannot believe I am 5 cm and not screaming...LOL...I guess everyone is different and everyone progresses differently. As long as my water hasn't broken, I guess I will be okay until this lil bugger decides to make a move! I am going for a nice LONG walk today. I will keep you all posted!! As soon as something changes, you all will know!! =) Thanks so much ladies! You are all so great. <3

I`m so happy for you Chantal. I admire your strenght and being positive all the time. You are an example for all of us. I suppose now you are at the birth center. Good luck. We are waiting for the photos.
OMG!! it looks like your going to have a big baby. I cant wait to see your next post and hopefully it will say that youve had your little one (well not so little). I hope everything goes well for you. WOW i cant believe you are already 5 cm dilated. Good luck hun i hope you sail through labour. x
Wanna hear somethin funny ? When I went into labor with my oldest my contractions were 2 mins apart.. My husband asked me "Can I take a shower before we go " ? And he actually did!!!!!! By the time Igot to the hospital... I was 7cm dilated.... I WANTED TO KILL HIM!!!!
AH I'm so excited you might be having him RIGHT NOW!!! Its funny that your husband asked if you could hold out until after friday. When I was pregnant my boyfriend called me at work about 2 months before I was due and asked which day I was planning to have the baby since he wanted to schedule the week off! I had to tell him that they come when they want to not when you want them to.
OMG!!!! She could be having her baby boy right now!!!! How exciting I hope that all is well and we hear back soon!!!!! YAY!!!!!!
She's probably giving birth as we speak (hopefully!)!!! Yay, Chantal! I love birthing centers. I was just mentioning to prayerfulwife that I used to work in a hospital in the kitchen. My FAVORITE thing was delivering trays of food to the birthing center to see all those babies. Thankfully birthing centers are on tight lockdown, too. I had to buzz the nurses to get in and I WORKED there so know you and your son will be safe!
We also paid special dietary attention to the new mommas. They basically could have anything we had in our kitchen OR cafeteria. Hope you have just as nice a hospital and CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR AN UPDATE!

Hey Joy....Actually I will be giving birth at a birth center, not at home. I guess from that information I am definitely in labor!! YIPPPPEEEE =) Hopefully they will be 5 min apart soon! I'll let you girls know soon!!! My mom went from 6-10 in about an hour or 2 hours.....she was pretty quick with all 4 of us and wasn't in major pain until pushing time! (hopefully I am the same!) So far I am following that!
Kelly...what day is your c-section? Yea we picked out (so far) Jeremiah James. You'll be holding your little one soon enough too!! How exciting! =)
