Update: First Appointment
I am amazed, in so many ways I don't even know what to say..
I went into the dr's office and they called me back and they did a urine sample and told me they were going to do an ultrasound.. at that point I was terrified. I'm soo glad Jason went with me, especially since we saw the baby. Well anyway, he did the pelvic and pap as usual for your first appointment from what I understand, did the whole breast exam and all of that .. then he did the ultrasound.. at first i started to get scared bc i didn't see anything but then it just popped up.. you could see the heartbeat just beating away it was soo amazing. The baby wiggled, and he pointed out the start of his legs and arms and all of that.. I'm not as far along though, I'm around 8w5d and I'm due Aug 8th. He said since they saw the heartbeat and everything that it makes miscarriage go down some and then in 4 weeks it'll decrease even more..I asked the dr if he knew the heartrate and he said that he has never been able to figure it out on that computer.. I was like ahh man, but he said it was bleating pretty fast and it looks great.. so I guess I can relax a little bit now.. I'm amazed.. and so excited now..

Wait until you get to HEAR it! I'm really glad everything was okay - it's a wonderful feeling seeing your baby and knowing that everything is okay. Congrats!!!

Awesome!!! If the heart had looked to be erratic, he would've figured out the heartbeat through other means, so he's not worried at all!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AWw. Congratulations. It's always so relieving to see the heartbeat. I'll be glad to hear this one. I go back for a repeat u/s tomorrow. The first one the gestational sac only measured about 5 wks 3 days. Putting me at a due date of Aug 11th. It was too early to see or hear a heartbeat. I'm praying, crossing my fingers and toes and hoping that everything will be ok when I go tomorrow. I should be 8 wks 3 days then. Everybody pray for me, I just m/c'd in august 07 :(
