Uterus update! And a question!

So I don't know who all posted on my last thread about this, but I made a post asking why my uterus would be towards my left side. My uterus gets ROCK hard when I have to pee or after BD'ing which is completely normal for me, however I noticed it was all the way towards my left hip bone and in a very elongated shape, I explained it being like a New York Steak(shape wise).

I never did get it looked at, too scared to. But I am happy to announce that my uterus seems to be normal now. It's located just under my belly button and is in the center of my abdomen now. I'm relieved like no other that it's in a "normal" spot and normally shaped now. I was reading and at 12 weeks your uterus does shift and shifts more off of your bladder, so i'm guessing it shifted and i'm pretty happy about that now lol.

I was also wondering, I have my first prenatal appointment on Monday, IF they do an ultrasound how likely is it that they can atleast guess the sex of the baby? I will be 12 weeks and 4 days.

Ohh I feel your pain. I passed 4 when I was pregnant with my daughter..or was it 5? IDK but 3 of them were without pain medicine voluntarily because I was past 34wks..my doctors kept telling me I was crazy. And knowing what I do now (That I wouldn't deliver until 40wks) I might have used the pain meds LOL. And I get positional hydronephrosis with pregnancy too because my whole torso is so small..I've had awful kidney pain with this pregnnacy but so far only 1 stone and I passed it with tylenol and a heating pad...WAY better than pregnancy with DD. I had slight kidney failure from my first stone in 2003 when I was 17 because it took them a whole week of the kidney being 100% blocked to catch it on CT because they kept saying "she's a young, healthy female it's just a UTI"...and the infection that resulted affected my heart valve too which I have to deal with now and *****. Anyway make sure to keep an eye on your kidneys!!!

If your cyst was that big I bet it definitely did affect the position...your uterus and fallopian tubes were probably swollen and spasming which moved it!

I do plan on asking at my appointment on Monday. Now that things are normal i'm not to scared to ask about it lol. My cyst was HUGE! You could feel it from the outside, and even see it from the outside without even touching it. It caused a great deal of pain, and it was so big it was pushing on my left kidney and I lost a lot of kidney function, and had extreme pain in my lower back/kidney area. I have really bad kidney's as I had severe Lymes Disease in 2006 with slight kidney failure, and I also have a tendency for kidney stones while pregnant...so that didnt help either.

I'm just glad the cyst has seemed to shrink or go away, it can no longer be seen or felt from the outside of my belly, which i'm very happy about!

from what I hear the earliest the sex is even visible is 13wks...but they can sometimes see a boy if he's having an erection around 15/16wks...I went in for my Maternal Fetal Medicine growth scan at 15wks and was told boy...and now at 34wks I've had it confirmed several times...but I think you're just a bit early!

The cyst MAY have an effect on your uterus position if it caused enough swelling and involuntary spasming...but at the same time I would imagine that it would have pushed it away because of the swelling...hmm, I don't know. You could always ask I would be curious to know if that could effect tilting.

Thats what I was thinking, as far as a tilted or tipped uterus. Having it more towards the left was VERY unusual for me, however this is my 5th baby, and I know things can be different for every pregnancy and things can change after having a lot of pregnancies. I'm just glad it's where it should be lol....I was a bit worried that I'd be a deformed pregnant woman lol.

Now could the corpus luteum cyst have caused my uterus to be more towards the left? The cyst is/was on my left ovary. I'm guessing it has gone away now, as the pain and other discomforts from it have passed. it was a HUGE cyst, about the size of a baseball, and caused severe pain and swelling on my left side, that could be seen from outside my belly.

Chances are slim that they'd be able to accurately tell the gender at this point.  As for your uterus it is possible to have a tipped or tilted uterus.  Mine tends to lean towards the right, which causes more pressure on my right leg.
