Ok took another OPK (4 in total) and they were all positive. I am hoping that it isn't false like the one earlier this month. I will test again tomorrow just to make sure. I have 24-36 hours and I will be temping like mad and joining the 2 week wait with the rest of the ladies! I never thought I would be excited to be in that group!
I will definitely. I have also been taking prenatals, folic acid, vitex, baby aspirin and omega 3. I am trying the best I can to make sure that it goes over well. I have the test strips to check my ovulation prediction kit and got 3 positives. I will test again later to see if it is still going or not. We have bedded the last few days and will continue to do so for the next week or so (we usually do anyways lol) just for good measure. I hope that all of these precautions will actually do us some good!
Well my calendar said that I was supossed to "O" 5 days before I actually O, so, I had all the classic symptoms of O eventhough I thought it was the weeek before (we had bd'd sooo much the week before but nope that wasn't O).
Anyway I tested just for the hell of it with an OPK and sure enough I was full flaming O, so we bd that night and the next morning and here I am 26 weeks pregnant (the u/s conception date gives me the exact day after O!) so that worked!. Anyway I took a baby aspirin for a couple of days during O and then after those few days I started taking Omega 3's religiously along with my prenatal vitamins.
Good luck. TTC isn't exact science, its more nature at its best, you just have to pay attention to your body's clues.
Thank you for the advice. I actually went to VS and bought a sexy little black outfit that I have been saving for just such an occasion. I hope that my body is actually doing what it says its doing... only time will tell :)
Have sex tonight if your OPK came back up +. I honestly don't belive in much intervention, nature is not very predictable so its the doctor's guess over yours.
The temperature, I know some women absolutely go crazy over it but I don't trust it, there's many things in our bodies that make it vary, many times its something that you don't notice like what you eat that makes your temp go up or down.
Trust the OPK a little, take a baby aspirin and schedule a sexy night with your husband tonight and maybe tomorrow morning too.
Yes I do use opk all the time. I had the exact thing happen earlier this month. I had a positive OPK earlier this month and my doctor did have a hormone panel done 2 weeks after it said that I ovulated and turns out my body is giving me signs of ovulation (positive opk, tons of sex and cervix changes + egg white cervical mucus). The egg white cervical mucus is what caused the doctor to say that I was ovulating. (Hes showed it to me and everything yuck) I hope this clears up any confusion. Like I said I had the same symptoms and I know I haven't ovulated yet because my temp was so low although I did have a positive opk about a half an hour ago. I am going to continue on with my husband and have blood work done again next Wed and going for an infertility work up that I had scheduled for yesterday but that my doc didn't want to do because he thought I was ovulating. I had the same signs previously had this month... so they're kind of faulty signs. I will just have to wait and see.
Okay I'm really confused. Earlier in the month you had a blood test to see if you were ovulating and it said you weren't. Then you had a biopsy yesterday and your doctor said you were ovulating because you had cervical discharge.
This is just my opinion but if you were checked for ovulation (by checking progesterone levels) they'd need to be checked about a week after the time you think you ovulated. So that means you should've had the blood test a week from yesterday.
I also agree wholeheartedly with Mumita on this one.
I agree with you! Some doctors are just plain RUDE and always think they're right and that the patient doesn't know NEARLY as much as they do, so they overlook everything you say. Some doctors don't even try to ease your mind at all. I know how stressful TTC is, and I understand your frustration completely. It's not that you're blaming the doctor for being wrong, it's blaming the doctor for not attending to your needs like he actually gives a sh!t about them, maybe we've just had bad experiences with doctors, but I think a lot of women know where we're coming from.
Well doctors base their knowledge on evidence, statistics and symptoms but nature is individual and full of variables. I don't know how long you have been ttc but nature has a way to work on its own regardless of interventions.
Don't blame the doctor, they really can't tell you 100%, they can try something and see if it works but it doesnt always. Have you tried using OPK's?
