So I'm about ready to just break down and give up. I seriously have no idea what to do and have no one to talk to. First of all, my husband and I live in a condo that's in my mom's name because right after she moved in she got married and moved out and was stuck with the lease. So we moved in and basically just took over payments so she didn't get screwed. So now we gave her the money for rent at the beginning of the month which we have NEVER been late on and she didn't pay it. So we now have 3 days to be out of our house when it wasn't our fault. Then I got a letter in the mail from the state saying that my car is not insured which I have always been on my mom's insurance because it's wayyy cheaper but come to find out her and her husband haven't been paying for that either. So I have untill Wednesday to get my car insured. My husband lost his wallet with my license in it, and I need to get a new one before I can get insurance, which I don't have money for at all considering we have to move and just spent all of our money on bills that were due. My husband works and is in the process of getting a second job since I got put on bedrest but money is soo tight I just don't know what to do. I seriously just want to give up. I don't know what we are going to do. Neither of us have any family close or any friends that can help us. I feel so stuck. :/
If she owns it it takes a lot longer than a month to be,forclosed on.. Sounds like she hasnt paid in a while

Honestly, I love my mom more than anything and she has NEVER let me go without. We had a long talk and she is going to do everything she can to make sure we have everything that we need. She is not usually like this at all. Her kids always come first. She is in the middle of a divorce and is dealing with some major health issues. She was unaware that her husband stopped paying the insurance bill which is no surprise, he is a total **** when it comes to money. I'm confident that everything will be okay. It just ***** being pregnant and so emotional, the panic if everything seems so overwhelming. And I found out more about the rent situation. We would give her the money which she would give to her husband and he would send them a check since she doesn't have a checking account. So once they started fighting he stopped caring about our rent payments and would take his time paying then. He has never liked my husband and I because we were living together before we were married so this is no surprise. Anyways... Things will be okay, and I'm pretty sure my mom is more upset about the situation than I am.
Yeah this sounds fishy. Is there a tenancy office that can give advice? I wouldn't pay a month if I'm not living there after they evicted me. And your mum should pay you back for the insurance. I'm sorry but she is a selfish ***** when your pregnant and such. If you have transaction evidence then I would go to the police because she is stealing your money.
Do you know if that notice was sent out before yall pd??? If so I would call the office and ask because if it was and they got yalls payment than yall should be able to stay...they cant just take a months rent than kick you out
Late or not you still paid the month so you should have the month to stay and find new place
Oh no :( I have had a similar situation but with dh mom we had our truck in her name for many reasons and so every month we gave her our truck payment and we had the truck for a year and a half than all of a sudden we were hearing that they wanted it back due to non payment and we were stunned because we gave his mom the money every month on time...turns out she decided to quit paying on our truck and used the money on her vehicle so we lost our vehicle 3 months before our son was born :( and since than my husbands credit has been messed up because he was a co-signer so we haven't been able to get a decent vehicle in our own name :( its just sad that helping out family ends in us getting s.c.r.e.w.e.d!!
Omg!!!.. She ain't right!!!.. That's just not nice what she bin doing and look were she put U into!!!.. U can't be stressing being pregnant... Girl I am so mad about what ur mom did to U.. U try helping her thinking u were doing good meanwhile she did U wrong!!.
Did she give you guys your money back and I font no how it is there but I no you usually get a week or 2 I'll be praying for you
She said she will help, but she doesn't have any money either. And she is going through a divorce so her ******* husband is definitely not going to be willing to help.
Then it sounds like this is not the first time shes bin latee!!!.. And what did she tell U about U being tied right now with money???.. Did she at least tell U she will help U or somethng cuz it was her fault!!.
Well, it seems like she has been late a few times and just never told us. In the lease you don't have to miss payments you just have to be over a week late more than a certain amount of times.
Idk something sounds off like u have to miss a couple of payments on rent to get kicked out
That's awful...you would think since this is the first time yall were late they would give yall a warning!!! I'm so sorry hun I really hope something works out in your favor and soon
Omg!! Ur mom just killed it!! It sounds like she used the money for somethng else than paying what U had gave her. Because u were giving her the money on time for everythng and she forgot outta the nowhere!!.. Thats how my mom used to be. She would do it to my sister. She wouldn't pay the money and waisted buying sh!t she didnt need. Dnt feel bad. I know ur going thru a hard situation. But they're suppise to give U a 30 day notice by law. Bout ur car inssuranse tell ur mom to ask for an extension or else make her pay. U gave her the.money she ain't doing it for free!!!..
Idk.. I'm super upset right now. I just know we have 3 days. But thankfully they have to be business days so we have until Tuesday, but still. We JUST paid rent and all of our bills so we have no money until my husband gets paid in a week and a half. :/
How can they say you have to be out in 3 days?? Don't they have to give you at the very least like a 7 day notice?? Omg I would be so pissed at your mom, she dropped the ball and now its costing you and your husband. I wish I knew what to say but I have never dealt with a situation like this. Yes, it's legal because it's in the written lease. They just have to give a 72 hour notice.
What!!!!?? Is that even legal I know if you pay rent late you just get a late fee not an eviction notice.. I would call your local legal aid office & they.could help you buy time to find a new place and tell you if thats even legal for her to get an eviction notice
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I also paid for my portion of the insurance. So it wasn't like I was relying on mommy to pay all of my bills. I'm just so upset that she would let this happen.
