Very faint pink line on test, could I be pregnant?

Hi! My husband and I just started trying for a baby this month, and because of my excitement and impatience I took a pregnancy test today...even though I'm not expecting my period for another week.  Well, a very very very faint pink "yes" line showed up next to the default line. Then I took another test and it was for sure a negative result that time. What do you think, could I be pregnant? Has something similar happened to anyone else? Thank you. :)

I had the same thing happen to me today, got a very faint pink line after a few minutes, then a negative result on the other...I'm not sure what to do at this point...what ended up happening?

Definitely testing too early (will only stress you out!). Use First Response about 3 days before your expected period for a more accurate result (and hopefully a darker line!).

I did the exact same thing.  My husband and I started trying and I got impatient the first month, so I tested 5 days before my period came and got a faint +.  It was soo light that I had to squint to see it.  Now I am 7 1/2 months along :)

Go to the doctor for a blood test to be sure, but in my (limited) experience, any line no matter how faint is a plus.  If you want a couple of days and test again, it should be darker also if you're pregnant.

I took three tests and got a barely there line before I got my positive.  You are probably testing to early.  I got a positive finally at 12 dpo, but some times it takes longer to build up HCG.  Test again in a couple of days.  Usually a positive is a positive!  Congrats!

You could have gotten a bad test, or it could have been an evaporation line. I used First Response and got a positive 4 days before my period. Keep in mind that your hcg levels may be too low to get a positive before your period. You should wait until the day you expect your period, or for it to be a week late before you test.
