WOMEN THAT ARE ALREADY MOTHERS

my question is for the women that already have at least one child, not to offend anyone, but i would like the opinion of the ladies that have done it already.

So tomorrow (06/23/2011) will be my missed period day if all goes well. and my question is, can i take a hpt tomorrow and get an accurate result? im super anxious and have been ttc for the last year... can anyone help with some answers?

please and thank you.

Sorry if I'm repeating and I see you haven't taken a test yet, BUT you CAN get an accurate result but some women don't show up positive until later. Good luck to you! BUT if you do decide to test early, than First Response Early Result, or Clear Blue digital are two of the most sensitive tests available.

it is very normal to cramp and I would go ahead to take a hpt. The sooner you know the more time you have to care for yourself and the waiting game will just drive you insane LOL.

Just remember to use first urine in the morning! You have the most horomone in your urine after you've slept :)

I tested three days before my period was due in my first pregnancy and it was positive, I also had a normal test, no digital test. It was the first morning urine (has higher concentrations of the pregnancy hormone ß-HCG). You should get a response on the day your period is due, it depends on the test as well. Different tests have different sensitivity levels.

All the best :-)

I used a dollar store test and it came up positive right away. It wasn't even first morning urine :)

I am the same as Alaysha! I got my positive with this pregnancy at 10 dpo with a Dollar Tree Test. And then confirmed with the First Response the next day. The line was VERY faint on the Dollar Tree Test but as dark as they get on the First Response. And the Clear Blue Digitals aren't nearly as sensitive, I think First Response is 25 and the Digital is 50+ and NEVER take a digital apart as they always have 2 lines inside ;)

I always got my first positive on a dollar store test and then got a first response to confirm.

so my best bet is first response pink dye sticks then..... so based on the pink dye situation, do you think a hpt from the 99 cent store would work? lol.. they are pink line tests also...

I have found that digitals are not as sensitive.  I just found out I was pregnant again (2 boys and 1 miscarriage) a couple of days ago which was about 5 days before my missed period.  I've always used First Response, however, I have also found that First Response Digitals are just as sensitive as well.  Clear Blue Easy is a good digital too, however, for me those ones always show up "pregnant" a day or two after First Response.

Good luck.

Yep you should he able to get an accurate answer by tomorrow like mami2karina said make sure to use a pink dye test. I was able to get positive results a couple of days before my period was due.

Of course you can! Take a pink dye test like First Response you're less likely to get a false positive result. I've tested in the past before my period was due and when I was pregnant always got a positive before I was due! Good luck tomorrow!!!
