WONDERING

I'M WONDERING WHEN IS IT BEST TO CHANGE MY SLEEPING HABITS. I USUALLY SLEEP ON MY SIDES AND MY BACK, NEVER ON MY STOMACH. BUT I'VE READ THAT SLEEPING ON YOUR BACK RESTRICTS AIR FLOW OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT. BUT IS IT OK TO ALTERNATE SIDES, OR TRY TO LAY MAINLY ON THE LEFT SIDE? I'M CURRENTLY 13WKS.

sorry - the middle of the 2nd trimester is about when you'll have to stop sleeping on your back and switch to your sides, and when sleeping on your stomach will become difficult^^^

My advice? DON'T start practicing...for the simple reason that you will become sick of having to sleep only on your sides, lol.

Sleep on your stomach and your back as long as you can...around the middle of the 2nd trimester is when you have to stop sleeping on your back and sides, so until then - sleep any way that feels comfortable because soon enough you'll miss it when you don't have a choice!

After 2 pregnancies and being almost 20 wks with my 3rd baby..I promise you...get that stomach and back sleeping in while you can, LOL.

best yes left is best...I always sleep better on my right when I'm pregnant, for some odd reason, and that's OK too, but left promotes the best blood and oxygen flow.

I'm nearly 13 weeks too and I'm normally a back sleeper. I started transitioning a few weeks ago just to get used to it. It's hard!
Anyway, my doctor suggested to be in the habit of sleeping on your side (left side preferred) by 20 weeks. Good luck!

It's ok to alternate sides. You can always put an extra pillow under you so you are propped just a bit if you lay on your back. Your body will naturally switch positions for what's best for your baby.
I slept on my stomach until it wasn't comfortable anymore with my first. I would always wake up on my back and just roll to my side. Left side is best though!
