*Warning*~ possible TMI!... Discharge during pg??

OK... so... I'm a little nervous right now. As some of you know, I have a history of m/c and high risk pg... well, a few minutes ago I went to use the restroom, and after a few minutes of pushing (I have been SEVERELY constipated lately due to all the meds they have had me on) I wiped and there was a big glob of thick snotty discharge.... This couldn't be part of my mucus plug could it??? I mean I'm only 13 weeks tomorrow! I know I was straining a bit... but I didn't think the plug could come loose this early?? I did have sex yesterday afternoon... could it be from that??
I'm trying to keep calm, but I have been so nervous anyway due to all the stress around here lately, I was hospitalized from Thurs till Sun for my neurological disorder, then last night I spent half the night in the ER with DD and I've spent nearly the entire day in consults and on the phone with Dr's for her. I think I may have gotten a total of 10 minutes of sleep last night, and though I think I've remained pretty level headed, I'm worried the stress could be taking a toll on the pregnancy.
I have my cerclage scheduled for this Friday, was supposed to be last friday, but they couldn't do it then due to my other medical problems, I hate to call my OB if this is just normal pg discharge, I feel like I have called them a MILLION times lately!! And honestly, with everything going on with DD I don't know if I could even make it in to see them before my cerclage is scheduled.
Has anyone else had any discharge like this? There was NO blood or brown spots in it, completely the whitesh yellowish normal pg discharge color (if there even is a such thing as "normal" in pg! LOL), just A LOT thicker....
Anyway... sorry ladies if this post was all around TMI... any info would be greatly appreciated!

just wanted to say its nomal everytime i have sex
the next day i would have thick discharge ugh gross
but yea i even went to the doctor for this
which was embarrassing to me
but she took a look and kinda laughed and told me its normal
so yea lol

Hey, I hope you are feeling better. Anyway I have read that its totally normal to have discharge. I had a little myself and of course it concerned me as well. At least when you talked to the Dr's office they didnt seem concerned. Since you are having the procedure on Friday just mention it to put your mind at ease. Anyway best of Luck and hopefully you have some stress free days comin to ya!!

Thanks all! I didn't call last night cause I didn't want to bother them after hours and I didnt notice anything more, when I talked to them this morning they didnt seem concerned since there was no blood.
I really appreciate everyones input! Definitely helped to put my mind at ease!

Not a ton, maybe somewhere between a dime and nickle sized amount...
I always thought the mucus plug formed early... and you lost it in the weeks leading up to labor...

are you sure it couldnt just be sperm falling out from last nights sex? sometimes it can get clumped up in there and then come out later...thats happened to me before. i know this is gonna sound super gross but did u smell it? u can usually tell the difference in smell. But since you have been stressed out and have had a high risk preg in the past i would call the doc to be sure...better safe then sorry. besides the doctors are used to all kinds of "stupid" pregnancy questions although i dont believe there are any stupid pregnancy questions you can never be too careful when it comes to your baby. I'd deffinitly ring your ob for piece of mind if nothing else. ive also been really constipated before not from pregnancy and been pushing and had some mucus come out with the stool but from the vagina so im pretty sure its just a normal occurance from pushing?

The mucus plug forms in the weeks leading up to labor so "no", this isnt your mucus plug.

Discharge of different types is very common during pregnancy.  Approximately how much discharge was there?
