Weird Pregnancy symptom or change?

So I have a heightened sense of smell, which is quite normal when pregnant...  but oddly enough, i have really dull taste buds...  I can hardly taste anything.. i was reading that your taste buds can change with the hormone changes but other than sweets, everything tastes watery or bland to me.

at first, i thought maybe it was just the meal but my husband said it was really strong garlic flavor... 3 days later, things are still tasting bland..

anyone else experience this before?

I've only JUST developed this & I'm 36 weeks now.  The heightened sense of smell I had right from 5 weeks, but this not being able to taste anything is new & getting really annoying.  

Glad to know its normal.

I had it really bad. Its starting to get better now, but my food has to have a lot of flavor or it tastes like that.

Yes, pregnancy can effect ones sense of taste.
