I get this all the time! I work in care and im constantly washing my hands, ive always been the same, my doc called it "housewives hands" its because my hands are always getting wet! I wouldnt say its worse during my pregnancy but i cant use as many creams as i did because they irritate me more!! Ive recently been using vasaline because it moistorises my hands and also protects them from getting wet!
I have a rash on my ring fingers on both hands, my Dr has always gave me this cream called fucidin. I'm not sure what it is, it flares up every now & then. Little bumps that are super itchy, they ooze clear liquid sometimes, gets red, then really dry & flaky when it heals. Seems like right when it clears up, it starts all over again.
Sounds like my dry skin lol. Get some neosporin and at a pharmacy buy a box of white cotton gloves. Put the neosporin on and cover your hands with the gloves. Should clear up in a week then just moisturize! Like everytime you wash your hands... put lotion on. Do this whenever your hands feel even slightly dry.
If the neosporin with cotton gloves doesnt work give your Dr a call cause then its likely something else like Eczema as the previous poster thought. Oh! Do the neosporin and gloves at night. The longer your skin can absorb the ointment the better - and every night til it clears up which like I said should be a week. :)
Eczema? I have developed it in pregnancy and my symptoms are similar. My doctor told me to use hydrocortizone cream and it helps a lot.
