Yea, my doc and I both agreed on no meds. It was Feb when I had her so it was hard to get her out n about. My mom was a HUGE supporter thank God. Its just those hours I'm alone n then at night is when I reach my highest levels of anxiety. I couldn't be alone w her for a while. Its different now tho, I have a kid, my mom is gone until 6pm n my bf is gone. Hopefully having a summer baby will make it easier, taking a walk might help... I think.

I had it with a couple of my children, you need to get everything in place before you have your new bub, ie, making sure doctors are aware of you history etc, and then be onto it yourself, the first sign, get yourself to your doctor, the first time I didnt realsie what was happening, mine was due more to a bad relationship I think as with the last 6 I havent had it at all, if you can make sure you also have a good support system around you, join a mothers group etc, so you have to get out of the house, little things like this will make a big difference

Yea, I've had a history of depression since I was 14, I'm now 22... PPD is literally the scariest thing I've ever gone through. My boyfriend travels for a living and I am by myself a lot. Scary :(

You are at an increased risk of PPD if you've previously had it. Prior depression can also increase the risk of it, as well as several other factors. It would be something worth mentioning to your doctor so they will know how to handle it when and if it comes to it.
