Firs off, I was over due by 5 days when I went to my doctor and I wanted to have the baby so bad. I was showing signs of preclampsia so she ordered tests and what do ya know, the doctor came over and said "time to induce you!". I was 1 cdentimeter and they gave me a pill to softne my cervix and make it thinner. Everything started off good. I started having contractions after the first pill and I was barely 3 dilated. So they gave me another pill and the contractions got worse. I couldn't take it, so they gave me nubane, which btw was amazing (first dose only, the second dose did not work at all). At about 4:30 am on may 15th, I felt a pop and my water broke! I was so scared, I started yelling for brent and called the nurse and she told me I was now in active labor and it was only a matter of time. I was 4 centimeters at that time. My contractions got worse and worse. They started the pitocin at about 9 am, but I was in so much pain, I got my epidural before then. I wanted a natural birth with no meds, but I honestly could not take it. I tried to put it off as long as I could, but I couldn't. I am really glad I did the meds because I know without them i would have been in much more stress and it would be bad for the baby. Well, just my luck the epdiural wore off at about 11ish....they refused to give me more or any pain meds at all because I was dilated at 8!!! So I felt so much during labor. The pushing was so hard. I nearly passed out. I demanded them use the suckion cup thing to help me lol. 45 minutes I spent pushing her out and as soon as her head popped out I screamed so loud, but not becasue it was painful, but because I was in so much relief. At 12:27 pm on May 15th, Charlotte Susanne Sarver made herself known to the world :) 7lbs 14 oz, 20 1/4 inches long. We got to come home today. I am a happy mother with a beautiful daughter and I don't think I could love anything or anyone more than I love her :)
Thank you ladies for all the advice you have given me throughout my pregnancy :)
Thanks :) I'm exhausted lol. I'm surprised I'm not bleeding as much as I thought I would, but my arms are killing me lol. I thought I was going to break the rail things they had me hold on to lol. They was having me hold on to the back of my legs but made me stop because I was starting to draw blood where my my nails were going into my skin so far. All and all I am not doing it again for a long time lol. If I do, I am holding off on the epidural as long as I can so it doesnt wear off as I get close lol
