What can I take for swimmers ear at 10.5 weeks preggo

Hey Ladies, so this weekend my 10 year old daughter, my DH and I went on vacation. It was really nice because as most of you know DH and I are seperated and working things out at the moment (as most of you know), but it was nice to be together as a whole family again. Anyhoo we did a lot of walking and my back was and has been killing me, and we also did a lot of swimming. My question is I have swimmers ear and it's really killing me, and I don't know of any over the counter meds that I can take or that are safe for the pain (back and ear) and I don't go to my doctor for another week and a half. I was wondering if any of you wonderful ladies had any suggestions. Anyhelp is good help Thanks!

Mix one part vinegar and one part alcohol and use it as ear drops.  Your ear won't abosb the mixture, but let it sit in your ear for a few minutes and then let it run out.  The alcohol absobs the water/gets the water out of your ear and the vinegar puts the acidity back in your ear.  I had swimmers ear alot when I was younger and my niece has it right now.  I used this mixture every time I went swimming too, to prevent it from occuring.

I am sorry you have it.  I know how painful it is.
