I have been sexually active for a year now, and although not the safest technique, we are only using the pull out method. What worries me at this point in life is that like a dummy i did not count my days effectively, least pay attention to when i had my period last. So that obviously effects it to a certain extent...on my calendar it says i was due to have my period on the 18 of Aug. and well its already sept. 2.
I pee most than usual
at the mention of food i get disgusted
slight cramps here and there
i mean nothing too extreme other than the fact that i think im late, and probably am playing head games. But my question was merely to find out the chances of pregnancy using the pull out method.
When i hear stories that their pregnancy was unplanned does that mean it was a oopsies with their condom, a flaw in the b.c. did they ejaculate fully and didnt think they would..... or to my fear... were they using the pull out method and got pregnant.
Help please! i am going to take a hpt today, but have been stressing/worried about this for about a week now.
Mind you, my period was always 28 on the dot! and not until maybe ending 07 beg. 08 has it been somewhat irregular... but only by days not weeks.
I am 26 weeks pg using the pull out method. We were in the process of planning on trying, had discussed waiting another couple of months, and bam. We have a little boy on the way. So I would have to say, the pull out method isn't a wise choice for birth control unless you really don't care if you get pregnant. I would suggest taking a test.
Every woman has a 25% chance of becoming pregnant in a given cycle when not using protection.
Definitely go buy a pregnancy test! Stress can definitely delay things but I want you to know that if you are pregnant YOU CAN DO IT!
I was 19 when I got pregnant with my first daughter. We weren't using any form of birth control and we were not pulling out either. We honestly didn't care what happened until it actually did--- then I flipped out! It took 2 months to get pregnant.
When someone has an unplanned pregnancy, it simply means that it was unexpected. It could be not using any protection, ripped condom, and even women on birth control can conceive.
well i did a hpt and it came out negative! but i already made a dr.appt just to be safe =]
now as far as the bc. im not too fond of the pill and the shot seems wrong for some reason... if you ladies have/had a favorite bc method plz let me know
i don't trust any kind of bc or maybe im just fertile i don't know but when i get pregnant with my son i was on the shot. when i got pregnant with my daughter i had an iud and it came out stuck in her hair!!! now i am pregnant with my third child after just having my daughter 5mths ago from the pull out method!!! im not complaining though i love kids and would have 6 if i could afford them!!!
this is the thing, people think that the pull out method is ok as long as they pull out right before the ejackulate....not! the have pre-ejackulation or how ever you spell it. I've gotten pregnant on the pull out. And an unplanned pregnancy can mean many of things, either the condom broke, or they wasn't supposed to have kids and one came along, or rape, anything just use your head. Just keep this in mind, any type of sex can get you pregnanat no matter what. The protections just try to prevent them. The condoms can break Ive had that happen many of times but not get preggo. The pill you can mess up on one day with just starting to take them and get preggo. An IUD can some how slip out regardless what anyone says I know a friend that that happened to. And the shot isn't that affective. So basically your taking a slight risk every time you have an intercourse. But my advise is to buy a first response digital test them are the best.
My husband and I haven been using the pull out method for 10 years now and it has never failed. My husband is very controlled though. He always gets out in plenty of time. Honestly it doesnt look like its very much fun for him as he has to concentrate on pulling out and giving himself enough time to get out. But that is the method he likes to use. He likes to be in control and wants to be the oneresponsible for birth control. We have 1 daughter and im currently 9 weeks pregnant with out second and they were planned, and they happened the first time he didnt pull out.
I believe the pull out method fails bc most guys are not disciplined enough to pull out ahead of time. Most guys pull out right before. My husband pulls out a good 30 seconds before he ejaculates.
I do agree the pull out method is not a reliable form of birth control for people who 100% do not want to be pregnant. If you dont want to get pregnant you should take birth control into your hands. If you dont want to do birth control insist on a condom!
congratulations! i messed up too and fell pregnant through not taking my pill properly id forget to take it then take 2 or 3 at a time i know it was stupid and i honestly did not want a baby yet, but i can honestly say now im nearly 19 weeks pregnant its the best feeling in the world and im loving it the only problem im having is trying to kick the habbit! yes i know im being irresponsible and i dont want to harm my baby and i am cutting down but my advise to u is if you are a smoker try and stop now the longer you leave it the harder it will be, and most of all enjoy your pregnancy how many weeks are u? let us all know how u get on and put some belly pics on here when you start growin i personly love seeing them. congrats and good luck x
thank you! i am 6 weeks and 3 days! haha aw im just barely entering 'mommy hood'
i am so proud to boast that no morning sickness yet!!! i do get nauseated...but that is 100xs better then throwing up!
i had my 1st doc visit yesterday, and i get my 1st u/s in a mnth! i am very excited!!!
HOWEVER, there are many things that are stressing me out right now, i have read that stress causes miscarriages, so i worry more so.
my parents dont know yet, i was pretty much tryin to wait till the 2nd trimester when i start showing... any advice of how YOUNG women told their parents?
mind you, i am going to turn 20 in october. and i would say i am pretty much established at a young age. financially i make around 18 dollars and i am going to school full time. even though ive wanted a baby, i knew that i wasnt ready... well God has His own plan. so i am definitely expecting the worse.
suggestions or advice would reallly be appreciated. thanks again ladies for responding!
im only 23 myself but me and my partner have been together for 4 and a half years so i think my mum actually expected me to get pregnant before this, i now know she secretly wanted to be a grandma so it was easy telling her. im sure if u tell your mum after the initial shock has worn off she will be fine, you may be young but your no child and youve made your decision so dont let anyone talk you out of what u have already chose to do as you will only resent them for it later, i wish you all the luck in the world and let us all know how you get on, by the way my sickness started later so your not in the clear yet! and try not to stress too much (saying that im the biggest stress head in the world) but its my first too every ache and pain makes you worry but stay on this forum and these ladies will tell u every thing u need to know and advise u if they think u should see a doctor, but ull be amazed at all the weird and wanderful things that happens to your body its great, try and enjoy it if u can worrying doesnt do any good for any 1 pregnant or not, if you need to talk im here for u xxxxxx
lol no s***! i was soooo dumbfounded when i found out, like dang!!! as it is so much of the sperm die on its road to the lil eggie, and thats the whole lot! lol i never knew precum was that susceptible in making it! i am astonished...and grateful at this pt... my lil nugget is a trooper! lol And funny thing is i ALWAYS had a misconception that precum wasnt as strong or well 'nourished' as the rest. idk if you get me, but yea i always thought precum was not complete in its formation.
well my 1st u/s is Oct. 9th! ill post picks up soon
lol theres a lesson to be learned some are the hard way and some not. But you learn something everyday. Congradulations! I go to my doc app tomorrow so I'm excited. Stress can be harmfull to the baby. Just try not to let things get to you. I've had two miccarries before, but they cannot detect why you misscarry sometimes its just your body not being ready. But since this is your first child I would take it easy because your body is going through alot of new and very diff changes and your body has to adapt to them. So keep the stress level down. I've heard that if you buy the cds or tapes that have natural nature sounds on it and listen to them when about to go into strees mode it slows your heartbeat back to normal and it gives your brain time to relax. It's also good to listen to it when you go to sleep it relaxes your body. Keep us posted!
I did get pregnant off of precum...its less likely because its not as much but still possible. And don't stress about telling your mom, I was only 19 when I got pregnant and 20 when i had her...my mom was upset for a little while but she soon got excited...and even more so when i started showing...but dont wait too long to tell her...let her share this experience with you. Just expect that she may be astonished at first but she will eventually love it...Good luck and enjoy this experience!!
