What is this stabbing pain!?

Hey ladies, another question for you.. So for like the past 2 weeks during the night I have been getting pretty bad cramps in my lower back. It's only at night though.. My doctor said that it's normal and that my body is getting ready.. (Ill be 35 weeks in 2 days.)  Well anyway! now last night, whenever I would roll over i would get a sharp shooting pain from like my crotch all the way up my stomach.  It hurt so bad that it would actually wake me up and I would lay there for a few minutes in pain.. Then it would go away and I could go back to sleep.. Anyone know what this is? or anyone experience this?? For some reason I feel like Im getting nowhere.  I haven't dropped yet, dont think ive lost any of my mucose plug, and other than the back cramps I haven't had anything.. Not even BHs.. whats wrong with me!

thanks betty! that makes me feel better.. Yeah I have had a lot of pressure in my butt lately lol its weird and sometimes I will get that "have to poop" feeling too.. lol mostly its just sharp pains in my butthole.. when it happens I usually yell "my buttholes falling out again!" to my mom or my best friend.. they think that is funny.. but at the moment I dont really know what else to say lol

lol oh wow.. Yeah I guess travis isn't completely repulsed by it either he is just grossed out by my belly button which has pretty much ceased to exist lol.. besides the pretty reddish purple scar tissue that you can now see through my skin where my piercing used to be.  Travis likes watching the belly move though, and feeling the baby too.. He actually felt it around 23 weeks and then again at like 28 or 29 and was surprised how strong he was! lol we were laying there watching tv and he had his hand on my belly and the baby moved and he was like "I THINK I FELT HIM KICK!!" I was like yeah.. he doest that lol he was like amazed.. and then he started talking about how strong he is lol..
Oh geez Im not referred to as anything.. but the other day at walmart a lady told me to stop trying to steal a watermelon and I have been told that I look like I shoved a basketball up my shirt a few times too lol

i think you are moving along thats how i felt for a while i didint think i was getting anywhere at all...i didint even think i was dropped at all just like you and about 3wks ago i started getting contractions out of know where i was actully getting ready to go get a pedicure and had just got outta of the shower and for a second i was like oh its nothing and then they got worse they started in my lower back and moved up to the top of my bump not lower and to me they felt nothing like period cramps.lol they hurt so bad i was like period cramps lol yeah right. and they stopped my labor cuz it was to soon and after 5hrs of constint contractions only about 3min apart i wasnt dialating i was at a 0 and about 90% effaced..then the week after that i had a apt and i was at 1cm and 95% last week i didint get checked and i think i might be more dialated...and i think you might be also i have tons of pressure in my butt it hurts and i always feel like i have to poop.lol but dont i got to the point where i couldnt even sit on the toilet.lol scary!  about the plug my came out in pieces and it was boogery looking no blood it took about a wk for the whole thing to come out and the last day i noticed it i was a tiny bit pink couldnt really tell...  dont get discouraged though im sure your moving along..

He isn't completely turned on by it. It actually grosses him out to see my tummy move in all shapes and forms when the baby moves. He doesn't mind feeling the baby move, but he says it just reminds him of the movie Alien lol. The other thing is that hubby is actually scared to have sex with me lmao. We were having sex once and he felt the baby move near my bladder and he freaked lmao. It was cute, frusterating and stupid all at the same time. But I have became known as the *baby walrus* lol Or the * mexican penguin* since im half mexican lol.

lmao.. Idk whats worse the fact that travis is completely repulsed<sp? by my pregnant stomach or that your hubby is completely turned on.. lol good thing my sex drive matches how travis feels otherwise I think I would be in some pain.. He says its the belly ring scar and that if i would have taken it out sooner it wouldn't be so gross.. lol whatever.

LMAO I was just about to say...I so wouldnt get away with that *innocently* if hubby walked in on me doing that...Id have him pestering me lol. It's bad enough that I can't even take a bath or shower without being pestered. I feel so unattractive...but hubby acts like he is 15 all over again now that I am preggers lol.

Oh well I will send him out to the park with the kids or something, and lock my doors and keep the windows closed so that I can actually clean my floors instead of being held captive on them lmao.

It's just so hard to tell because its like.. My back has been in pain throughout my entire pregnancy.. and before I got pregnant I got period cramps way worse than the cramps im getting now.. So its like if my period causes me to cramp worse than this Im worried to see where Im at next thursday lol.. oh well I guess a lot starts happening when you hit like 36-37 weeks so I wont give up hope yet.. Scrubbing the floor sounds like a good plan.. lol maybe scrub the floor WHILE rocking back and forth to make baby move down?? haha can't imagine what Travis would say if he walked in on that..

With all the cramping and pain your going through, I wouldnt doubt if you were dialated. Im going to be doing lots of cleaning tomorrow as well, im even going to wash all the floors on my hands and knee's...if hubby lets me lol. Im determined to get things moving just like you are, hopefully we will have our little bundles soon.

Thanks.. Im spending all day tomorrow cleaning and not getting off my feet until I hit my bed.. I really want to start moving along, because my doctor has been talking about possible induction after 37 weeks, which is in 2 weeks! and next week is my last week of work and then I will have to start using my PTO so this baby needs to come soon so I can go on my short term disability! guess its a good think that I keep getting sharp pains in my butt lol but thats probably the only thing that has been different for me lately other than the cramping in my back.

awww well stress sure won't help move things along. And I know how it feels to feel *stuck*. I thought for sure I was going to go over since I wasn't having any activity going on from 30 weeks, like my other pregnancies, but one day it was just like BAM and I started having activity.

Your baby will let you know when he is ready, and when he is ready trust me you WILL know lol.  Just hang in there, im sure things will start happening soon.

Im starting to get so discouraged! I start my 1 week checkups next thursday and I feel like Im going nowhere.. I feel like I should still be 25 weeks pregnant with the way my body has been acting and honestly I dont think he has dropped or anything.. (from what I read babies are supposed to drop WEEKS before delivery, especially your first..) its frusterating and I just keep thinking in the back of my mind "what if I need a c-section?" because Im really small.. My hips were a 25 pre preg and are probably at the largest a 27 now.. I dont want a c-section so I think im starting to stress myself out.

BH's do eventually change. I know mine have, Mine went from just the tight non painful contractions to actual pain. Real contractions will have the pressure and pain...just imagine a wave going over your belly, it starts low, like in the bladder area and creeps its way up your tummy. And it will be painful.

Im not sure about the mucous plug, I have only witnessed mine come out once, and it was with this pregnancy. Mine at first was like a lot of mucous kinda like EWCM i suppose, then a blood clot type thing, then a HUGE (tmi) loogie/booger type thing with a bit of blood in it.

But im not to sure, I heard it can come out looking all types of weird lol.

When you get further along to BHs change?? Like when I was 20 weeks I knew what they were because it was so much pressure in my stomach, now i dont get the pressure but I do get bad pains in my lower stomach and back.. could that be BHs?

also.. When you lose your mucose plug is it always greenish, yellowish, bloodyish etc..
a few weeks ago for about 3 days after I wiped it looked like EWCM.. Really thick and boogery.. but it was clear.. no blood or any color.. could that be my mucose plug or is that just cm?

Sounds like round ligament pain to me. Im 37 weeks tomorrow and I just asked my doc about the same thing. He said it's your hips getting wider which puts pressure on your ligaments between your legs, and if you move to fast you can pull those ligaments.

So just try to roll over in steps like I do, I go to my back and wait a few seconds then slowly move to the other side. It helps having a pillow between your legs because it makes you move slower.

Are you sure they are not BH? Or maybe the little one poking you because he might feel uncofortable ...Wish I could help..But, hey, Its just a few weeks more to meet your angel!
