What should I do about this?

I am 10w 3d pregnant today. I *used* to enjoy water and used to do very well drinking my 64 oz daily and used to only drink water and milk. But now that I am pregnant I have had some pretty intense morning sickness and I just cannot stomach water. I can only drink maybe 1-2 glasses a day. I know the importance of drinking water and especially now but I just cannot do it right now. Anyone else had this problem and can anyone please suggest what I can do about this.

Hopefully this MS will go away verrryy sooon, so it will only be temporary I hope?

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will try lemon water for sure, as I haven't tried that before. I drink gatorade now but not alot of it because I just don't like the after taste of drinks with sugar in them. Plus I am not used to them. But I can tolerate gatorade so I will just subsitute the water for now, like you said in most cases this is only temporary :)

I cannot wait till I am throught this first trimester! Thanks again !

I've never really had bad MS, but sucking on the sour candies made it better. Maybe you can try making some lemonade without sweetening it...it's flavored water...

Can you handle lemon water, or gatorade? It's very important to drink water, but until the morning sickness passes (and it should) you can always substitute with other liquids, just make sure you're not getting dehydrated. I was even told that if soda was the only thing I could keep down to drink that...not forever, mind you, but do what it takes to stay hydrated!

Also..this helped me, but I don't know about you...VERY COLD Ice water sat easier on my belly when I was pregnant, and if I got queasy drinking it I would pull out a cube of ice and chew that, and then continue drinking...OR very cold bottled water. I could never handle just plain tap water in a glass while pregnant.

But Like I said it's OK to substitute with other liquids for a few weeks and just drink what water you can...try to stay away from overly sweet drinks, and avoid TOO much caffeine...but do what it takes hon.

congrats and good luck :)
