What time of day to take a HPT???

I read a post on here that said "never" take a HPT in the morning, always in the evening. Is this true? If so, why? And in that case, why do the HPT boxes & other resources say take them w/your first morning pee since it's the most concentrated w/the pregnancy hormone?? Just wanted your opinions.... :)

FMU is better when you are early but you should be able to use pee at any time of day the farther you are from ovulation and get an accurate result. I tested at night and got a positive.

Yea definitely wait till morning, I took one at night and it came out neg. than took one in the morning a day later and it was positive.... So be patient...

Thanks so much everyone!! It probably was an ovulation predictor kit they were referring too.. I appreciate everyone's feedback!! I'm testing on Monday, praying for +++!!! And I will definitely do it in the morning. ;)

First morning urine is always best! You can take an HPT in the evening, but it is definitely best to take it in the morning. Your HCG is at it's highest first thing in the morning and the fact that you hold your bladder a lot longer helps also! I would recommend that you ALWAYS take an HPT in the morning.

I missed that post I guess....I can say I've always heard early morning pee is better, but I've tested for ALL my kids in the evening and got a positive.

I think the post you read was referring to the ovulation predictor kits not the pregnancy tests.  Most of the hpt's can be taken any time of day BUT the first morning urine contains the highest concentration of HCG.
