When did you lose your mucus plug?

I'm 33w5d pregnant and last week I lost a glob of snotty-like cm. About the size of a nickel. I've had creamy cm my whole pregnancy which is normal, so when I noticed the other cm it made me wonder what's going on down there. Well, since that glob I've off and on been having some stringy cm. Still looks a little like snot. I had a big increase of creamy cm. So bad that I was constantly wiping to make sure I keep dry. It's back and forth with that. I know that the further along you get the more it increases. I didn't have blood in the snotty cm and I've always heard that if it was your mucus plug or part of it, that it'd have blood in it. Well I went to google and read where some women didn't even know they lost theirs and some didn't have blood. So it gets a bit confusing.

I had back pain for two days that made me feel like I was having a period in my lower back. Soaking in the tub helps with that. I can finally breathe so I'm hoping that it means my LO is down. It's so hot here that I can't even walk away from the air vent or I'll bust out in a sweat so him possibly being down helps a LOT. I have some pressure down between my legs which also makes me wonder if baby is down more. He's been low the whole pregnancy anyway. Except when he wanted to be all up in my ribs :)

So, I'm just curious when everyone lost their plug or if you ever did.

Clysta, I was the same way.  It was a ton of a mess, not just a little bit.  I lost it all at once and delivered less than 10 hours from losing it.  I guess we are all different.

The only time I lost mine was when I was in labour and it was bloody show as well. The two were mixed together. When I had this happen, she was born less than 24 hours later.

The mucus plug and your bloody show are two different things. Your mucus plug you can loose multiple times during your pregnancy with no worries. Its usually when you have your bloody show (mucus mixed with blood) that indicates you'll be going into labor soon. I lost my mucus plug from week 22 on my 4+ times. At 38 weeks I lost it again but with streaks of blood and gave birth the next day.

My doctor knows about the back pain and told me that if I experience any bleeding or leaking to come back... so far none of that I can recall... and that's why I was asking about the mucus plug. I don't know what it looks like really. Just hear-say about it.

If you are losing your mucous plug and having backpain and vaginal pressure you really should contact your dr.  It is possible that you could be going into preterm labor.

That's about what mine looks like -clear-ish/yellow.. and sometimes an off white color. It was almost like rubber. I'm telling you, if I were to throw that thing to the wall, I'm quite sure it'd stick for a second (LOL)

I had a little more come out today. Wasn't a lot. CM seems to be getting a little thin now. I'll be 34 weeks Friday so I'm hoping that if there are some chances going on there, that they hold out until 37 weeks lol

I lost my plug at 36 weeks. It was after a cervix exam and by the time I got home I was cramping. It looked like a brown blob of snot (tmi!) and after that I had a lot of pressure. My midwife cleared me from bedrest at 37 weeks, and I delivered at 38 exactly. I've also heard that your mucus plug can regenerate, mine didn't, or at least that I knew of. But when I went into labor, by the time I got to L&D I was spotting a little.

I also only really had creamy cm throughout pregnancy. I've heard that the mp can look straw colored, pink, red, or just be clear. I've heard for some women it's more of a solid, congealed mass, and others say it was stringy. :/ Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
