My daughter is about 7 1/2 months now and we're still waiting for the first tooth to pop through the gums! The funny part is that she's been teething on and off since she was about 4 months old... drooling like crazy and chewing on everything in sight. It's good to see that there are a few other babies out there still toothless at this age... I was starting to get worried, but the pediatrician told us it can take as long as a year (or longer) for some babies.
DS cut the bottom two at the front at the same time, just after he turned 6 mos.
Julian got his first tooth at 6 months and his second a weeklater then he got his top one at 7.5 months and the second a week later! He is almost 10 months and still has 4 teeth
my eli started teething at 3 months had it by 3 1/2 brett had his first tooth by 4 months. they're now 8 months old with 6 big ol' chompers.
my kids got thier teeth between 4-6 months old... i on the other hand had my first 2 teeth by 2months according to my mom (may she rest in peace) but this is the same woman who has always told us that my brother was over almost 7 lbs when he was born 2 1/2 months early which would put him at around 30 weeks... i love you mom but i think you were off a little...lol... back then (my bro is 33) they didnt track cycles or get ultrasounds like we do today...lol
my daughter got hers at 9 months..and my son had got his at 6 months...
my hubbys aunt was telling us that one of her grandsons' is finallly getting his first tooth in and he is almost 16 months old!! crazy!
well, she started the teething sypmtoms by 4 or 5 months, but didn't cut the first tooth until 8 1/2 months. the next didn't come for another month or 2.
What's funny is she was actually teething at around 3-4 months, chewing, drooling, the whole nine yards, then it went away. It started again a couple of months later, but still nothing. Everytime she gets diarreah (sp?), we wonder if it is teething related, but NOPE, just a caught a bug.
It just seems weird that it is taking so long. I have heard that kids can get them after their 1st birthday, but I really don't know anyone that it really happened to, so I was curious if anyone actually experienced that, or if the doctor gets concerned by a certain point.
My son starting teething at 3 months, but the 2 bottom teeth didn't come in until 4 months. Then a couple of months later he got the top 2. He's now 1 and has 3 more coming in at once.
I have a friend whos daughter didn't get her first tooth until after her 1st birthday! Since then I think she has gotten a few more. Every baby is different!
My son got his first 2 bottom teeth at 4 months old. They just kept popping after that.
With my first 2 boys they started teething around 2.5-3 months and had 2 theeth before they were 4 months old. Thats very early to get teeth, they were very fussy babies. My last son just got 2 teeth sometime around 6 months, I had been expecting it from about 4 months on but the timing of his was acually more normal. I would say that anytime after 4 months is normal. Between 6-9 you should see a few. Some babies are a little later, but im sure the BFing mommys dont mind, lol:)
