If you are still getting sick, I will tell you a few things that helped me. I was sick all day everyday with our daughter and I did not think I was gonna make it. I know some of you will gasp at the first one, but sipping an ice cold Coke and saltines helped. I don't know what it was about the Coke, but the more I belched the better I felt. Also I tried to not get a completely empty stomach, because if I did and then ate, I would throw it right back up. I went on the internet and found a good receipe for decaff Ginger tea. Ginger is a natural anti-nausea remedy. I hope this helps some of you. Good luck.
I agree with smelling everything! Smells are one of my worst triggers, anytime I go into the hall in my apartment I cover my nose because the smell of other peoples cooking makes me gag everytime. Smells and having an empty stomach are the two things that cause the most vomitting. I'm afraid I'm going to be one of those people where it lasts even into the second trimister :( I hope not!
I hope mine go away soon, I'll be 12 weeks this wkn. My morning sickness has never lasted this long before. With my 1st and 2nd pregnancy I believe it stopped around 8 weeks but this time I'm still sick at 11wks. Its the worst but I only throw up in the morning brushing my teeth trigger it everytime and during the day Im really nausea. Plus I swear I can smell everything. I can tell you if they are having fried chkn at the resturant on the 1st floor when I'm on the 6th. LOL
I agree it is different for everybody, but I started getting sick at 5 weeks and now I am 11 weeks and I was just admitted in the hospital last week from dehydration, nausea, and vomitting and I tell ya if I had a dollar for everytime my husband said baby just one more week I would have some good shopping money. He means well but me and the porcelin king and queen have had way to many conversations for sure. I am hoping that the next couple of weeks slow down because I am so ready to just enjoy being pregnant without sickness.
this time mine stopped around 13 weeks. I don't remember with the others, but it was shortly after the secnod trimester started.
I started getting sick about 5 weeks... and was unable to keep anything down (even water/crackers) for 4 weeks. Finally, they found a medicine combination that worked for me and although I am still nauseous I am keeping food down as long as I keep taking my pills. I really recommend staying away from anything with caffeine in it because it will dry you out, and my nausea was always worse when I was dehydrated!
Good luck
It is different for every pregnancy. With my daughter, I was sick all day the entire time I was preggo. With this pregnancy ( a lil boy) I was sick two or three times around weeks 12 -14. Some things that worked for me were 1. ice cold can of Coke, 2. making sure my stomach never got completely empty and 3. ginger tea. I hope you feel better soon. Good luck.
mine ended at week 12 and started again at week 24. i had 12 weeks of not praying to the porcelin gods...
Oh no, I truely hope I don't have it the whole way like you did! Have you had it the whole time, non-stop? Thats terrible. I really hope it eases up soon too, I am always nauseous and throwing up.
I am 38w5d and I still have it. I throw up at least once a day and am continually nauseous. It's different for everyone, but I hope yours eases up soon. :)
they say it normally subsides around the 12th week but mine started to go away around the 8th. but i never had it bad..i only threw up twice. most of the time i was just really sick to my stomach.
