My doc always starts this with my at 36 weeks. Once I reach 36 weeks, I see him once a week and he checks me each time.
the strep b test is to check for bacteria right? I had that done yesterday.
I am 35 weeks nad haven't been checked yet, but they are doing the strep b test next weeks so i am assuming that they will check then since they'll be down there.
My doc starts checking at 36 weeks.
I just got checked yesterday for the first time at 36 weeks. I wasn't dilated AT ALL...I was hoping to be but I'm 50%effaced.
With my 1st it was 36weeks. Im not sure when we will start this one.....
humm I think my ob is going to start checking me at my next app....the 29th I'll be 27.5 weeks then but I'm having twins so that could be part of why
Ok. Thanks ladies. I kinda figured it would be later like around 36-38 weeks but I wasnt sure.
My OB told me she will start around 38 or 39 weeks. I thought, won't it be funny if I have the baby before then. But, hey, that will be one less check, I guess. :)
I'm 37 1/2 weeks right now though, and no signs of labor so I will probably make it that far.
On a similar note, I had my strep test at 35 1/2 weeks but they didn't check for dilation then, either.
they checked me at 37 weeks with my first 2 with my third i was watched more closely as at 24 weeks i went into premamture labour, lucky it was stopped. it depends on your pregnancy i believe. kennedy with a c section i dont think they check for dilation as you are having a csection as dilation really doesn't matter.
My sister-in-law is about 38 weeks (due June 2) and today she goes into see if she is dialated. She went to the doctor last week and they told her they would check this week. I haven't made it far enough to know so hope this helps a little.
i have an appt tomorrow morning and i'll be 36 weeks on friday and i haven't been checked yet... so i was wondering the same thing. i don't remember w/ my other pregnancies when they started but i thought it was earlier than this. i'm a scheduled c-section so i don't know if that makes a difference to them or not. either way i still want to know what's going on down there! :)
