With my first two, I lost my mp two weeks before I delivered.  I am now 37w, and still haven't lost it!!  It can happen a couple of weeks to a couple of hours before labor.  If your contractions have stopped, I would wait it out!!  As long as you are still feeling baby move that is!!  You are getting so close now too!!  Its exciting and scary all at the same time!!  I hope you know something soon.   Keep us posted!

Linzola,  I didn't realize you had this history of preterm labor.

I don't know what to tell you.  Is your baby still moving really well?   I am apprehensive about giving you any advice since it seems you've lost your mucous plug.

Are you still feeling vigorous kicking?

Hey thanks for the advice so you so think i am in Labor?  why would the contractions just stop? Well I know it is a little early but let me explain what all has happend. At 25weeks I was admitted for preterm labor and they put me on Procardia 10mg 4x a day to stop the contractions. A few weeks later I was admitted agian and they incresed my procardia to 20 mg 6x a day. Well I was agian admitted on Tuesday and they stopped my contractions, but when my doctor came to evaluate me he said he was going to take me off the procardia because he truly believed that the baby would be great and that my body probably wouldnt handle too much more.... I was not dialiated or effaced at that time but I guess that can happen in a peroid of hours... My doctor is not in tomorrow so what should I do?

Linzola,  I think you need to get checked by your doctor tomorrow.  This does sound like labor - and it sounds like you've lost your mucous plug.

Unlike what you wish for,  that this is labor,  I wish you can hang on for another 4 weeks or so. This is too early to wish for a delivery - you need to pray for a full term pregnancy.

If it happens now,  pray for the best,  but I hope you hang on until you're due.

At about 7:00 I began getting severe contractions in my back and abdomen. My stomach balled up. I could barely talk through them. As my hubby and I were packing my bags they stopped so I chalked it to false Labor. Hopefully I hope they start up and stay soon... What is your thoughts.

I was 36 1/2 weeks when I started losing my plug and had the bloody show. I lost my plug little by little everyday. Some women lose it all it once, others little by little. I went into labor at 38 weeks 1 day. Everyone is different. But sounds like you are well on your way! It will happen when the baby is ready! =) Good luck and keep us posted!

That is it. Normally labour starts soon after (could already be in labour--could be another 48 hours) everyone is different, but it *usually* a sure sign. I think you are supose to call labour and delivery when this happens just to let them know
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
